What to do when your child won't eat or drink anything?

[deleted account] ( 4 moms have responded )

My daughter hasn't really been eating or drinking anything. I've been having to force her & I don't like doing that, but I don't want her getting dehydrated. What should I do? Plus when I did force her to eat or drink it just came back up. Please help me.

it usally doesn't last. but as they get older there more active. if it's something your really worried about take her to the doctor. i did and she told me it was normal and said i should be giving her vitamins. they make it in a liquid. how old is your daughter?

hmm, not sure.. the two of my kids that had reflux outgrew it after their first year. but i guess it is still a possibility. I hope that you find out what the problem is.. its always hard when the babies have problems. My heart goes out to her. and u might want to see if she has thrush (yeast infection in her mouth) her tongue will be coated white. thrush can be painful resulting in a child not wanting to eat or drink.
