Hi:) I just discovered this group and think it is great :) I have been a special education teacher for 9 years. I work with high school students who have all been diagnosed as emotionally disturbed, and many have a number of other issues as well. Many of my students have been placed out of the home and I envy those who are able to work as a team with the parents and care givers. I think that is so important and beneficial to the kids. I always enjoy being able to be a part of that "team."

Hello all, I am not a mom with special needs but a Grandmom of two. Our oldest grand is a girl who is legally blind, goes to a school for the blind and her brother has ausbergers (sp?). Would love to chat with anyone who is in same situations.

Welcome! So glad to have your input! I share your feelings that it is definitely a TEAM effort to help students to succeed! I hope we will be able to share loads of ideas and support to one another!!!
