when we go out for breakfast on the weekend we take the home work with us, keeps my son busy while we are waiting for food, plus we don't have the arguments after school about doing home

My son does a great job doing his homework when he has music on. I know that everyone tells you to avoid all distractions but that doesn't work for my son. He does great with music. I've also heard that if you do a few problems take a short break and then do some more and keep repeating this until it's done it can be real effective.
