Any tips?

I have a 4yr old, a 2yr old, and a 4month old. All boys! My oldest son was very easy to potty train. It just seemed to click for him and he was completely trained by the time he was 2. My second child who IS 2 just does not seem to understand the concept of going to the pot. Any suggestions or tricks i could use? i cant keep buying diapers for 2 babies. lol times are hard. help a sista out!!!

Hi Tiphini, My name is Desiree and I have 7 children 22b,19b,9g,4b,3b,2g, and 11 month old girl. My first 2 children we had and all the other children are adopted. I'm also married to a wonderful man for 24 years. First of all I do hear your frustration with your 2 year old not being interested in being potty trained. Please don't stress out too much over this, because somethings are out of our control, and just because your first child potty trained at 2 does not mean that the rest of your children will. What signs do you see that makes you think that your 2 year old is ready to be trained. Because if he is telling you that he's wet or that he pooped and change my diaper, that sweet little boy should be ready to be trained.LOL Maybe you can try starting off by encouraging and motivating your son to try and go potty, you can always try small treats or little toys from the dollar store to motivate him to go. But since you have already trained a child before I'm sure you've tried these things. Well anyway hang in there these things tend to work themselves out before long.
