Yes i know I've seen children fair through all kinds of accidents and have seen and been told how fast these things happen i don't really think we can ever truly safe guard our children but we always need to know how to deal with the dangerous situations when they arise, it really is just amazing how strong they can be i always try to keep on top of my emotions in situations because i know if a child is scared the last thing anyone should do is worry a child it can make the situation that much scarier for all, after awhile i think Mothers become very resilient just like their children, most of how we protect our children is baser instinct and it will be to always protect our children, sometimes i think its a good idea to hold onto these kinds of experience because just brushing it off is to me like trying to forget the experience ever happened and we do need to learn to learn is to remember many things to revise so we will remember, i just hope i never have my girl get into that terrifying a kind of position again. (The pram is locked in our spare room and we are now using a simple Zuzu Brand Stroller can't risk something like that happening again.)

Accidents happen all the time, and kids are incredibly resilient. The key is not to panick yourself, because that gets your child more worked up.
At 8 months, my daughter could get out of the 5-point stroller straps within seconds (even if they were tight enough to cut off her blood supply...haha). Once we were at the mall, and within seconds she got out of them, stood up in the stroller, and landed on her head on the marble flooring. You feel guilty, but little things happen all the time. My son has had injuries to the same body part (knee, above his eyes) for days in a row, just kept hurting himself. It becomes funny after awhile.
Just keep trucking and doing a good job!

I know the safety concerns with any baby equipment and like said i do feel guilty but like said i have an inquisitive child so i do my best to sit near her and watch her like said i was in the very room when it happened which is the most daunting thing I'm just concerned to the matter of how a child could so easily fit into a small part on the pram designed to be safe not to faulter it was a foot stand which is most concerning to me, the gap where she slipped into was only 7cm it had a protective cover that just lifted and then lifted & turned the pram aswell. My child is a built child I'm just really concerned at how the pram was even able to trap her but like said im just happy i wasn't one of the unlucky parents where my toddler had lost a finger tip or had become intrapped in a folding pram, like said falls out of her stroller happen more often then people want to talk about because they do feel unimaginable guilt that they couldn't immediately help, alot happen out of instability to the pram the child simply bouncing or from unsafe escalator grip, i can't imagine how i would feel in that situation, especially with the glares of strangers many just standby judging instead of trying to assist. Like i said i know accidents happen it should be something more recongised instead of being judged, accidents they happen to everyone it just depends when, i take many st john courses involving ert minimal work and i do go back for refresher courses its always good to get into a mothers group because they share similar stories and it really does open your eyes to all the bad kinds of things that can happen and not necessarily avoid it but precaution it and know how to deal with the situation if it ever god forbid arises.

I hate to sound judgemental and i am not trying to. I know that you as a mother tried your best to keep your child safe. Just as any mother would. As a parent we at least once allow our child to do something that is unsafe and suffer the consequences. That being said a stroller is not a toy. It does says in most if not all strollers to closley supervise child and not to allow children to play on it.It is not the manufacturers fault because she was allowed to use the stroller in a manner in which it was not supposed to be used. A stroller is for a parents use not a childs. In any case i am so glad that you were close by and able to safely get her out. Next time maybe store the stroller in a locked room. Just understand i am not judging you, i have had something similar happen with a highchair when my daughter was 1, because i let her play on it. It happens,we learn from it and then get over it.

I was about 12 or 13. My sister was around 1 and 1/2. We were at the mall shopping. My mom was pushing the stroller. Somehow my sister got the straps unbuckled. Back then they didn't have the 5 point harness. She flipped out of the stroller and started screaming. My mom picked her up as fast as she could. People just stood around us staring. My mom was crying. You could see a huge bump on my sisters forehead. It was awful. She ended up being ok. Besides her getting hurt the worst part was everyone just staring at us. Like we were horrible people. My mom was in tears all day. She felt so judged.
Accidents happen to even the best of parents. We can try our best to prevent them, but some are enevitable. I'm glad your daughter is ok.

I know accidents with children do occur and most of them occur in a home setting, I'm just thankful she wasn't seriously hurt from this no bruises no bumps & she has shown me that she feels fine, that shes not to shook up from the experience, i was just shocked a child could get into such a position and that it was quiet hard to get her out of it, at worst i thought she could have tripped and left a bump on her head on the stainless steel structure no way did i think a child could fit into that small opening of the prams structure like she did, The brand of pram is a mothers choice lunar buggy, for the two years we've had it no problems until now it's always been sturdy and reliable my daughter is only 16kilos her feet barely reach the foot stand, i just never saw the hazard of her playing around her pram, never thought my daughter could have fit into such an inaccessible small opening, it has a hard cover that is meant to stay placed to prevent children from putting their feets or hands in that area. She always tips her pram *or should i say old pram* to spin the wheels.I didn't think the pram would turn like it did it just always seemed so leveled in structure. My daughter is at a strong stage in her walking so she may be putting up with mum coddling her until we can find a suitable stroller. Thankyou for your understanding ladies, Many of the mothers on this site are always so kind & helpful.

I have to go pick up my son, but I will share a story later about accidents, and how fast they can happen....and how scary it can be. I still have nightmares.

You should not feel guilty, and you acted fast. That is awfully scary. No judgment here. Accidents happen. Can you post a picture of it to make sure other mothers do not purchase this specific one??? I would definitely be calling and lodging a complain with the company. Did she sustain any injuries or is she ok?
