When I had to pump for my twins they were that age I pumped about 3 1/2 to 4 ounces for each baby. Also remember pumping is not always a way to see how much milk you are making. A baby is much more efficient in getting milk out. At work now my twins are 8 months old and when I pump I only get a toltal of 6 ounces every 3 hours or so but they are always happy BF at home and growing well and are getting enough.

Start with 4 or 5 and see if that satisfies him. If not, go up to 6. I cannot imagine a baby that age needing more than that yet.
