Marie, my 17 month still does that sometimes walking on his tip toes and he is very clumsy...i've asked and asked about this and have never been told that there is a problem so for now i just watch him and giggle at how silly he can be and i'll just keep watching for anything to be concerned about. From mother to mother i'll just say enjoy all the little cute things they do and if it really really concerns you just ask their doctor and they'll tell you if you need to be worried!!

My now four year old son did that for a long time. He even would walk like that once he actually started walking by himself. I was told its normal for some kids and that by helping them strech their calf muscles it will correct. He has walked normal now for a long time, every now and then he will have a day where he walks on his toes but I think its more the age.

The best thing would be to ask your GP or health visitor. They may look at this at her 9 month check anyways. Does she use a baby walker?
