I normally use the playtex dropins nursers for my son.... At my baby shower I was given four ounce bottles, but the hole in the nipples seem (to me) to be much larger than the holes in the playtex nipples!!! Are these other bottles safe to use with my 2 month old????

well the slow flow nipples seem to frustrate him!!!! It takes him like an hour or more to finish a four ounce bottle because he stops and falls asleep cause he is bored!!!! I started using a regular bottle that has a nipple with a whole that is visibly bigger than the playtex nipple, and I am gonna try him with the fast flow nipples!!! The regular bottles that I have, that aren't playtex, the nipples dont say what flow they are!!!!

There is a speed on the side of the nipple. Sometimes the older looking playtex bottles come with fast nipples for some reason, or at least in my experience.
It all depends on your baby though what speed you should use, The slow is usually better for them while they are still getting the hang of sucking, swallowing, and breathing all at the same. time.
