Am I overfeeding my 1 month old baby boy?

My son eats 4 oz. at almost every feeding and I think he is still hungry and would eat more. Is he eating too much? If so what do I do to make sure he does not overeat? He does not spit up at all! and I do try to give him the paci after he has finished a bottle and is still acting hungry.

Thank you ladies you put my mind at ease a little! Kelly has your daughter gained a lot of weight with eating that much? Is she having formula or breastmilk?

I would agree, feed him as much as he wants. Babies will not overeat (that's a totally learned behaviour) and if they do get a bit too much they will throw it up. Some babies are just really hungry. My friend's baby was starting solids by 6 weeks or she would have had to feed 12 oz every half hour. He is now 24 and never had any health problems. He is a big man (not a fat kind of big) but we were not all created the same size!

Babies seem to know how much they want/need. I say feed to his needs.
lol and luck!
