Have you had trouble with your memory and attention span since you had a baby? I had a baby almost 6 months ago and I can't remember anything anymore, it's frustrating!

I had never heard of this, but it makes sense now. I misplaced my engagement ring after taking it off because it was still too small, and I seem to keep forgetting appointments and were I store things. It all makes sense!

I hope it goes away. I keep forgetting to put the cap back on things, like the orange juice, and my husband gets it out of the fridge and shakes it and it splashes all over him. He's irritated by that. Then, at work, I keep forgetting to put patients in my calendar, so then they show up and I didn't know they were coming and i have to scramble. Luckily, I haven't been double booked or anything, but I'm just waiting for that to happen!

Too funny Raylene!  Baby brain is so true!  I have always considered myself a fairly intelligent person.  Now I feel like there's an alien living in my brain and has turned it to mush!  I think it is the combination of having to deal with everything.  My brain seems rewired.  People jokingly say it never goes away.  Urrrgggghhhh!

Me too! i'm a mother of  three ranging from 5 to 8wks,  i work part time in child care, i think it stems from sleep deprevation and trying to mulit task, i seem to loose track of what i'm doing or saying, especially as the day goes on, in the evenings i seem to be alot worse. And it seems to get alot worse with each child. the other day i spent twenty minutes looking for the laundry liquid so i could  put the load on decided to open a new lot to use instead put the load on  only to find thati had put the hole bottle (container) into the washing machine with the laundry when the laodhad finnished thenk god the bottles lid was on tight or a i would have had many bubbles to clean up.  I guess that you just have to laugh.

YES! I knew that it happens when you're pregnant but I didn't know that it lasted after you had a baby! I can barely put a logical sentence together when I'm speaking to someone. It's like I speak before all the words can properly form in my head and everything comes out very vague. Examples: "Can you please go get Eric's thing from the other room?" or "Please put that deal back in the one place where it belongs." My husband makes a huge fuss about it and has to point it out every time I say something which is so irritating. It's like I'm too busy and too tired to even care!

lol Yup I have it as well. Sometimes I feel so stupid. I do also think it's due to having so much on the brain.

"Baby Brain" Believe it or not they had a segment on it on Good Morning America about a year ago. I got over it when my son was 10 months old. Now that i'm 4 weeks pregnant, forget about it. It's back with a vengeance.

I think its because your mind is on fifty million things at once. I still feel that way and my oldest is almost 2!  Plus the medication they put you on while you're in the hospital doesn't help matters.
