Anyone get told the wrong sex of their baby?

my grandma was a labor nurse and there are lots more cases of moms being told they r going to have boys and end up with little girls because at the time of the ultrasound the girls parts are sometimes swollen and look like a boy

This just happened to a friend. She was expecting a girl, had 3 ultrasounds confirming it, but it was a boy!

That's why it's a good idea to have atleast a few unisex outfits around. I always get an outfit for each gender to come home in ... just in case, say it's opposite of what told

We are foster adopt parents and have been waiting to foster/adopt for two years a little girl. We have a boy already and figured hey we really get to choose this way so why not! My nursery has always been very versitle since we have either sex foster kids coming and going, but in anticipation of foater/adopting I had accented with a lot of pink and "girly" things. Even had lots of girl clothes that were mostly hand me downs since we had know way of knowing size. Six weeks ago we get a call from our agency wanting to know if we wanted to foster/adopt a newborn boy. Huh??? Our 3 year old's birthmom had had another baby boy! We of course said yes, but it took us about a week (he arrived that day at two days old) for the shock to wear off! I quickly cleared all the girl things away and put out boy things and tracked down our sons old baby clothes etc. We are more then over joyed to have our baby boy but after all that time of "expecting" a girl it is quite shocking!!! :-) We are still waiting for a little girl to join our family but hey I guess another boy was in the plans for us after all. Congrats on your daughter!

my midwife told me at every apointment that she thinks ill have a boy. she insisted that after 20 years of working as one she knew what she was talking about. i couldnt find out at the scan because baby had its legs shut too tight....but then when i gave birth my sister shouted out "ITS A BOY" only to get corrected that it was infact a little girl! so my sister even made the mistake after my daughter had come out lol.

I wasn't able to tell until just before the birth coz one tech one week would say its a boy..then the next time I went in.."oh its a girl for sure"...um yeah it was a boy...I know his little "tackle" is small but surely not undetectable hehe

i was told at 15 weeks my baby is a boy (im still preggo) and the tech said its more likely for a girl to be a boy b/c the parts develop slowly for some...

my twin cousins were supposed to be boys till they were born girls... Everyone was waiting for the boys to be born and got a call that Savannah and Patrica were born...

I had a friend who was prepared for a girl and out came a boy! They had nothing to take him home in but a frilly pink dress!
