My baby is 5 weeks old and has developed baby acne this week. Any suggestions on how to treat it?

There is no way to treat baby acne. It is just a natural process. Mine didn't just have baby acne but a rash that extended past his face around his neck. We put 1% hydrocortisone cream on it. It clearned up any acne or skin problem that came up. good Luck

My son had it as well and I thought it would go away. When it got worse I brought him in and come to find out he had an allergic reaction to cow milk. His body was unable to break down the proteins so he was put on Sililac Alimentum (hypo allergenic formula) That coupled with Aquafor by Eucerin it was gone in a week! If it doesn't go away on its own or seems to get worse, it doesn't hurt to bring him in... Hope this helped! :)

there really isn't much you can do. It will go away on it's own.

My son had the same thing, we put aquaphor on his face and it helped clear it up. Other than that it took about a week and clear up. Just give it some time!

My son had this...we realized that while we were washing all his clothing in sensitive, perfume free detergent, we weren't doing that with ours, and there are always times when you are holding them that they are rubbing on your clothing...once we started washing all our clothing in perfume-free, etc, detergent, his acne cleared right up. To confirm it, he had a minor flare up after a visit from an aunt who held him a lot...I'm guessing she doesn't use perfume free detergent.

I didn't put anything on it! Just wipe as Lindsey suggested. It'll go away.

My son had the same problem after weeks of beautiful skin! I used one of his baby washcloths with warm water and gently rubbed his face twice a day. It went away pretty quickly and hasn't returned! Hope this helps.
