Hi everyone, I am looking for input. My 6mos old will begin swimming lessons and i need to get her a swimsuit. I am leaning toward a takini because it is 2 pc and easy to change her lil swimmer...what do you think about 1 piece, takini, and bakini?

I;d check with the place you do swimming and what they will allow. The one i attend, the babies have to not only wear a swimmer nappy but a swim suit that goes down to their knees, like the one piece ones. The company i go with believe's that it will help with any accidents, personally i dont think it makes a difference as far as accidetns go and the 2 piece swimmers are definately easier to change them into :)

When my little girl was 6 months she couldn't wear a swimsuit.. (she had gastroschisis"insides outside belly") As her belly button was open up until that point.. She is now 11 months old (will be a year on 3-30-10) but she will be getting a 2 piece as it will be so much easier with potty breaks and what nots.. I have had many people tell me that i shouldn't as they say she has a funny looking belly button.. (it just looks like an enlarged outtie.) I love her belly just the way it is.. I also tell people that she will know her story and that she get to tell them that she got a kiss for god... So go with what works best for you and your daughter.. 2 Piece are so much easier to change.. Best wishes and take care..

Any of them are fine, I think. A tankini or bikini would be easy to change the swim diaper.

There are so many cute suits available and I can't wait to go shopping for my daughters' suit soon (she's 6 months old) I'm leaning towards a 2 piece with her since she's a big baby and outgrows things so fast. A 2 piece would fit her longer.
