My daughter Chloe (4) loves The Itsy Bitsy Spider. I have to sing it over and over agin. She just loves it especially when I run my fingers up and down her belly and back like a spider. It really relaxes her.

I made up a song with my DD's name in it and have been singing it to her since she has been in my belly and now that she's beginning to respond to my voice this song really calms her down. Hopefully she will remember the song I wrote for forever : )

Baby Beluga is my little one's favourite song EVER. It has been since he was probably 2 months old. Now he's one. My husband sings funny words to any old tune, and he likes that, too. :)

Since my son was born, whenever he would be inconsolable I would sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". I still sing it to him, especially when he's upset! :) Thanks for the fun post.

my daughter is 19 months old and she loves when i sing "I Hope You DFance" by Leann Womack. I have been singing it to her since we found out i was pregnant. Also she loves "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

This post is fun I have to agree. My son loves when I sing the theme song from The Golden Girls, I have sang it to him since birth and it calms him down very quickly. He also loves Miley Cyrus "The Climb" , my daughter is obsessed with Hannah Montana"Miley Cyrus" so we here it alot and everytime he hears it he just sits and listens and if we are in the car he is so quiet when it is on the radio. My daughter loves all music she's 4 1/2 so I dont sing to her often she is usually the one singing, she even sings the Golden Girls song to her brother when he's crying in the morning, she goes in there before we get him from his crib and sings it to him and it works everytime.

My baby doesn't "do" lullabies. Her favourite song is "Row, row, row the boat..." She'll clamber onto my knee, grab my hands and frantically rock back and forth until I sing for her, and then I have to keep going for hours!

We have sung the same songs every night since our son was born and he's now three. I sing Greensleeves - folk song, Hey Jude - the Beatles, My favourite things - Sound of Music and Fernando - ABBA, while my husband sings Oceans and Black by Pearl Jam.

I don't sing to my baby but she does get an earfull of music. She loves "The Movies" by Alien Ant Farm and "I'd Do Anything" by Simple Plan. She stays real quiet, then smiles and starts to coo. She also likes "Make Damn Sure" by Taking Back Sunday. Maybe she "remembers" it from inside the womb. LOL

Heh, I've been singing my girl an old song that I learnt at primary school (with actions that make her giggle):

My lil boy Cody ( 6 months ) is not a super fan of lullabies etc. His favourite songs that he really gets excited about are " Bubbly by Colbie Collait", and "Better in Time by Leona Lewis". Anytime they come on the radio etc his lil face just lights up!!
