I am thinking of a "finding nemo" theme for the baby's room. I am not sure what I am having....boy or girl....what do you think?

I think its a cute idea regardless if your having a boy or a girl they will love the room because of all the different and bright colours, my son has winnie the pooh but im going to change it to thomas the tank engine when hes a little older he seems to like thomas better

I think its a great idea....i did my sons room in The Rainbow Fish.....its a chilrens book and i got the crib set given to me as a gift and just went with it....his room is blue with a fish wall border and some fish decals on the walls....he totally loves it...at first i kinda thought it might be to girlish....but then i thought that it wasn't cuz it is just a book for kids....not a girl or boy book.....it was lots of fun decorating......have fun and hope you have a great ending to your pregnancy....

=) I LOVE THE IDEA, although I might be biased because that's what I used. I saw the underwater/ aquarium theme as universal. I used the finding nemo wall border that had only annemies on it. They looked very real and that was what I was going for. I also chose to keep all the additional fish as natural as possible. Salt water fish have so many bold patterns that infants can see very easily. I used a black and white polka dot bedding set to mimic my favorite salt water fish the spotted damsel. I don’t believe I’ve seen a finding nemo that is done in pastel colors however I would definitely stay away from them if you did find them. Babies can not see pastels for several several months. At my baby shower I did have a few of my husband's friends ask why I painted the baby's room blue when I’m having a girl . . . . I just told them that I chose not to gender stereotype my child from the very beginning, she'll get enough of that out in the real world. And who says a girl can’t have a blue room! Have fun!!!

I did that for my baby too! I just went on ebay and found all the decals and you can even get someone to make you a matching crib sheet set. And just going to the dollar store and picking up fish teddies for the theme too. After I had my little girl and I moved when she was 9 months I decorated her room tinkerbell. But "finding nemo" works great for when you are leaving the baby's gender a suprise. I hope everything goes well with the rest of your pregnancy!!
