Hi
My baby is eight month and I still can't tell what is the colour of her eyes. My husband has hazel and I have dark brown. My baby"s eyes look really honey under the light and especially outside but look dark inside. Ae they going to stay like that for ever or are they going to get lighter and look honey colour everywhere ... Has any one got an idea

my boyfriend and i have had sex all weekend, we've used condoms the whole time except for Saturday and he got off in me i had peed out some of the sperm the next morning but later the next day i had brown discharge all in my underwear could i be pregnant just a day after? I was ovulating on Thursday April 4th, and the ending of my period was March 29th. I have been feeling slight pressure to my ovaries, and discomfort. Today is April 8th, and i still have slight brownish/light pink color to my underwear, What is wrong?

My ten year old daughters eyes are still changing colors. One day they look green and another a light brown color.

Well then it is a very low chance of having a baby with coloured eyes but it is possible

My daughter was born w black eyes. By time she was a yr old her eyes were a most gorgeuos dark blue. She's 9yrs old now. My son was born w blue eyes but you could definitely see a hint of brown behind that blue. The blue was all gone within a few months. His eyes have gotten more gold over time. He has a most awesome golden brown color now at 8yrs old.y other son was born with blue eyes that have only gotten lighter over the yrs. He's 7 yrs old now with the prettiest light blue eyes. My last son was born with gray eyes. He is 13 months old and I still can't tell what the final color will be. Some say they will be blue and a few others say brown. Time will tell. I have blue eyes (except when I cry then they turn bright green!). Husband brown eyes. My mom had blue eyes as a child but by the time she grew up they slowly turned more to green. The color change is suppose to be during first year, but you never can tell about these things!

one year is the final color.. they tend to change up until then.. Baby light blue eyes usually stay.. but greyish blue eyes often change. that has been what i have read, learned and personal experience.

she was born with very dark blue. then turned to my colour at 2 or so months. shes now 6 months and they seem to be going a bit greenish in the light. im just seeing whats gunna happen

I've done some research on this because my son was born with these gorgeous blue eyes and I really wanted them to stay that color but I have green eyes and my husband's are brown so it seemed unlikely. According to my research eye color can change until they are 3 years old. This is a really cool website for calculating your baby's eye color. I like this one because it takes into account what color the grandparents eyes are as well.

Our doctor said up to 6 months for a final colour. However, my son is now 11 months and his eye colour has changed again. My firstborn's eye colour never changed from the ice blue he was born with. So who knows really.

My son is 5 months and his are still changing. They started changing at just a couple weeks old when I noticed that there was a little brown speck in one of his eyes so I knew it was just a matter of time before they turned totally brown (and here I was hoping he'd get my blue eyes, oh well).

It can take up to 6 months in most cases for a baby's eye's to change. I know someone who had 2 kids eye color change after they were a year, but they are the exception and not the rule.

My husband's eyes were blue until age 12 when they turned green. Our 9 month old has blue eyes but mine are green also. I won't be satisfied that they are their final color until he is in college!!! lol Seriously though I am thinking that they will probably turn green at some point but only God knows!

even if your eyes don't match a parent it can still be genetic... there could be other colours between your parents or grandparents that can sneak back in. they told us at the hospital that usually (not always) the colour at 6 months is where it stays, Fay-Lynne has grey & green eyes now, but when she was born they were such a dark blue they were almost purple. I wish they coulda stayed that way, so pretty & so cool looking

My daughter's eyes were black when she was born also and now they are a hazel color. She's 12 1/2 months old - I'm pretty sure this is the final color.

I always wondered that myself. My lil boy was born with beautiful blue eyes. Both myself and my husband have brown eyes, and the same for the rest of our families, except for my dad who has green eyes!! They are actually getting a lighter blue if anything, and EVERYONE who looks at them, keeps saying that they are going to stay that way!! Course then people look at us and ask jokingly of course, who the real daddy is haha.. We just laugh!!

I was born with baby blue eyes which went dark blue till i was 2, and are now a dark hazely brown. My partner was born with brown eyes which changed when he was 14!! he now has blue eyes. Our daughter was born with blue eyes which seem to be lightening on the inside but with a darker blue edge on the outside. I've been told that babys eye colour should settle by 6 months, but it hasn't been our experience

Im not sure but you can't always go by genetics either for that to decide. My mom has brown eyes my dad has blue- i have green. And yes, he IS my biological dad. I was born with green and they stayed green. My son was born with dark blue (my boyfriend has a light light blue color) and he is now almost 3 months old and they are starting to lighten up to his daddy's color but it could always change1

I actually just asked my doctor that with in the past week. My boyfriend has brown eyes and my family has blue. I'm partial to blue for some reason. When she was born she had dark dark eyes that almost looked black, then they went dark blue and now they seem to be lightning to blue. I asked my doctor on Monday when they usually pick a color and stay and he said it can take up to a year or two...from my experience and what I've always been told elsewhere by six months it should pretty much be set but who knows?

Just another thing I want to point out...just because one of you has brown eyes, does not guarantee the baby will! My doctor has even confirmed that and in my family and my boyfriend's family, brown eyes do not seem to be the dominate color...or at least not the gene that gets passed most...Just throwing that out there...

Dr's have told me 3 months you get a definite colour. But my son's eyes had a blue/ hazel mix to it at birth, there was a couple weeks where they were a dark blue now they seem to becoming a brownish colour, he is now 8 weeks old.

Im not sure what the answer is to this question. My son was born with eyes that alost looked black. But by a few months old they were and are a beautiful dark brown. My daughter is 10 months old and I think hers are still changing colors.
