My husband is coming home for a few weeks during Christmas (deployed overseas). I am still nursing our 9 month old...no period yet. We are hoping to get pregnant while he is home. Is there anything special I can do to increase our chances of conceiving? I still plan on nursing her. She only nurses 5 times a day with a 10 hour night sleep.

The best thing I would think for you to do is check with your Dr. Your Dr. would know what you should do. I would agree with the ovulation tests, but I have never used one so I'm not sure how they work...

We used those when we conceived our daughter and it actually said that I did not ovulate the month we got pregnant!

You can definately get pregnant while breastfeeding even if you haven't had a period. I would buy those ovulation test things and use those to find out when you are ovulating.
