my labour began at 1200am and then i started pushing at 430am and my son came out at 520 am. it was very painful because after the did the epidural they told me i could go to sleep biut when they rolled me over they didnt notice that the tubes were not connected anymore so they finally saw it when i started to feel the pressure and i felt everythinggg even the stitching!!

I pushed for 3 1/2 hours, after 19 hours of labor, and she just wouldn't come out, so I ended up with a c-section. I was in the hospital for 3 days and in pain for several more. I had to have help getting up out of chairs and out of bed and walking for several days. A c-section is not necessarily easier, but I'm not sure what I'll do for #2, guess I'll decide with my doctor when the time comes.

My first labour was 17 hours and pushed for 2 hours. They then discovered he was back to back and stuck. I had a forceps delivery. My second labour was 18 hours, I dilated to 5 cm but didnt go any further. I was then given hormones to boost my contractions but this distressed my little man so I had an emergency C section. I was disappointed not to push, I had home births booked for both!

I had a natural delivery with my son...induced and in labour for 10 hours, then pushed for 37 mins. I had a c-section with my daughter as I had complications following my son's birth. Both are healthy and happy!

I was in labour for 6 and a half hours I had an epidural which never took but I had a shot of demeral and it never did anything but make so stoned and say sooo many rude and messed up things. I pushed him out within 7 minutes. Also was my first baby. Thank goodness...

I requested a c-section. I never went into labour and never got to feel what real contractions felt like. I had my baby girl at 39 weeks 5 days and it was a super fast healing process. I was only in the hospital for 1.5 days and felt back to normal after only a few days to a week. I am the only person I know who has wanted and requested a c-section, after going thru it I would choose to do it all over again for sure:)

I just had my son a few weeks ago and pushed him out. He was 11lbs 2ozs and it was a huge suprise. I didn't have gestational diabetes and didn't go over my due date. I can't imagine how big he would have been if I was a couple weeks late. haha

My first pregnancy was a singleton and I got the privilege of pushing her out. My other two pregnancies were multiples. Second pregnancy had to be a c-section because my boy was breech and the first to come out. Third pregnancy was an emergency c-section because I went into premature labor and they could not stop it. I would DEFINITELY take pushing over c-section ANY DAY!!!!!!

with my first i was induced cuz i kept on going into premature labor from stress which they kept on stopping and i got induced at 530am and started pushing at 8am and the docs found out that i was allergic to the epidural (almost went into a coma) and so at 2pm after all that pushing i had a c section and from there on out, ive had two more c sections.. i prefer a c section over going natural ;)

I had an elective c-section. It all went great. Got wheeled into the operating room at 10.30am, they took til 10.55am to prep me and my little princess was out at 10.59am. All went like clock work. I was walking the next day and recovered very quickly. Was back to my usual self in about 2 weeks.

my little boy was 3 weeks early.had a text book labour right up to last min, but he was too far over left side, so he ended up stuck, had an emergency c section after 17 hours of labour n 2 hours pushing, they were gonna do forceps but he was too stuck, he was all healthy though weighing 6.11 lb . had alot of problems after my c section with infections, high temp pulse etc, so wish i had been able to have him naturally but least he got here safely, x

Never felt one contraction, Not one push. My water broke at 6am went to the hospital.. I was dialating but not contracting so they induced me and within three hours I was at a 9 when they realized she was breech and had to have an emergency cesearen, she came out with her legs rapped behine her neck and head was caved in from where her head was stuck in my rib cage :( Very scary! I am now 38 weeks pregnant and expecting a schedualed c-section on April 6th... and I chose another c-section all drugs and no pain Loved It :)

My mind was set on giving birth Naturally, but i did have an open mind because i know you cant always plan everything when it comes to giving birth..I had 12 hours of labor.. I pushed for 2 and a half hours and they realized that my son was stuck on the right side of my pelvic bone..My sons heart ended up going up to 200 so i got an emergency c-section..He went up to the NICU right away. put him on CPAC. Got to see him 2 days later. Both me and my son developed fevers, high BP and 2 infections..He also got Jaundice.. 6 days later we got to go home. And he has been doing great ever since. We went through a lot.. But i would do it all again! :) He is now 2 months! :D

My first I was in labor 7 hours at the hospitol (after arriving already dilated to 7cm with a 'bulging' bag of waters as the nurse put it) pushed 3 times for practice with the nurse and actually had to wait on the doc 30 min with my son stuck in the birth canal. It was the on-call doc not even my doctor. My son was born on Aug 8 2009 at 4:33pm, 8lb 8oz and 20 3/4 in after only about 12 minutes total pushing.

After a nite of induction, 16 hrs of labor, and 2 hrs of pushing; my beautiful baby boy Haydyn was finally delivered via c section ( @8lbs 10 oz he was too big for me to have naturally, as will be any child, they now have decided!)

I pushed for 2 1/2 hours (I had a midwife and was deterimined to have a natural birth) before they brought in a doctor who determined my little one just would not fit. I apparently have a condition which causes my tail bone to curve in so he wouldn't fit between my tailebone and my pelvic bone (he was a big boy lol). So in the end I had a c-section. I should add that my water had broken at 6:30 the day before and we were pushing 24 hours which made my midwife uncomfortable. Oh and the pitocin... I agree it makes the contractions horribly painful! I was having contractions when my water broke, but I wasn't dilating as quickly as they wanted me to so they gave me the drip. Oh my gosh I never thought I'd get through the pain and I'm not one who normally whines about pain lol.

I had my first 2 natural. 15 minutes after water broke for first one and second one was 24 hrs after going into labor. My baby was a C section due to his heart beat being 210 and the concern of him not making it threw labor. I PERFER NATURAL. The section was the worst thing i have ever had to endure in my whole life. Hate the pain Almost 5 mnths later and it still feels like it is on fire or Numb, yet doc says its normal
