My labor was 30 hours but i only took an hour to push my daughter out and I had an epedural. I was surprised because when I came into the hospital I was 7 cenemeters dialated. my daughter came out at 6 lbs. 10 oz. and I ended up naming her grace.

After 3 days of labor I was drugged up on the operating table to have a c-section but pushed him out at the last minute (despite being paralysed!) before they got the scalpel near me. Thank goodness ... would have hated to have had surgery.

I got induced 2 weeks early becuase the doctor thought the baby was gonna be 12 pounds by the time my due date came around so i got induced 12 hours later the doctor suggested a c section so i went with it and had him an hour later. he was only 7 lbs not ten like they told me he already was. im the biggest sissy and i was compleatly healed like a week later i didnt mind the c section.

My first was 13 hours if active labor pushed him out in about 5 pushes had to get an episiotomy. Don't know how many stiches my dr lost count.
Smh. That was 13 years ago. My second my water broke 4:30 in the morning but I never had any contractions got to the hospital and I was already 5 1/2 centimeters. Never went into labor. @ 12pm they rushed me for a emergency csection cause his heartrate dropped. Honestly the worst and scariest day of my life. And the most painful thing I've ever experienced after. Then I opened back up and had to be packed. So the baby factory is closed. Lol

I was induced 17 days before my due date due to toxemia. I was induced around 630 pm and my daughter was born at 12:36am via emergency csection. I wanted to have her naturally to experience everything but her heart rate kept dropping then went completely off the monitor. I was terrified of the csection and I was even more scared because I was over weight. It was not bad at all though, after 24 hours i was up and walking around the hospital. I was driving a week after my csection. I think your more scared about everything then anything. The only hard part is getting up when your sitting, you just have to be careful. If you have to have one just take your pain meds as described and you probably will never feel any pain as i didn't :)

I had 2 hours of labour and 3 hours of pushing after which I had a 3rd level epsiotomy and he was vacuumed twice due to fetal stress. My 5 hours of need were drug free but I did have intense back labour. Would do it all over again!

Pamella WOW they let you labour for 4 days thats awesome. i know that sounds weird but most dr get annoyed If your not progressing quickly enough for their liking. So that is awesome that u got to experience it! I am due with my 3rd in july and i am terrified of unduction or c-section as i have already had 2 completley natural births! (they r tlking bout induction due to GD)

I was in the hospital and in labor for 4 days when i was finally told I could push he was out in about 40 mins. I'm so happy I didnt have to have a c-section. I was prepared for almost anything but I was SO sacred of a c-section.

Well i can tell you first hand i have had a c-section and then i had two natural births and i would never have a c-section again unless i really had to like if my baby or i was in danger. I had no pain meds with my youngest one and it was great i just can't explain it, it was just great. I was told that with my middle son that i could have a natural birth after have my first son and i tried and i was successful and loved and i had to definately do it again with my youngest. So i give this advice to all those soon to be mothers if you can have a vaginal birth not a c-section and good luck

[deleted account]

I pushed with no meds for an hour and a half, then they had to vaccum my son out as his heartrate dropped to a very dangerous level.

I pushed with both. I pushed with my first for about ten minutes and did good seven pushes. I pushed with my second for maybe five minutes or less and she was out and about with three solid pushes.

I was in labor for 18 hours...wouldn't dialate so i had to have an emergency csection. I wanted to have her vaginally. Now after after a csection my feelings are going back and forth for my next kid. VAC might be an option for me. I'm just really unsure. lol.

My son was born at 29 weeks. Labour was 8 hrs. Used only gas and air and it took 4 pushes. He was 3lb 8oz and spent 10 weeks in ICU/NCU. As he was so small, labour and birth were not difficult for me, just for him. I'd have traded it gladly for him to be a full term mega-baby and a 3 day labour if it could have prevented him going through what he's been through.

I pushed and did it naturally. Labor was about 8hrs, ( I had to be induced though, not fun at all if any of you ever had that) I only pushed a couple times and than he was out. Who is now 18 months.

i had an emergency c-section.. they said as the time of the delivery goes near, you will notice that the baby moves a little bit less but my baby boy was still moving non stop like he was having a party inside my tummy. a week before my due date i checked with my ob gyne and she said that my cervix wasn't opening (consider that i am already on eveprim for two weeks...) but she said it's ok since it's my first baby and i can still give birth two weeks after my due date. just that my mom works for the local health care center and had her friend check my tummy... we can hear from the... i forgot what that thingy is called.. the one used to check baby's heartbeat.. that his heartbeat was dropping so she told us to go to the hospital soon.. my mom called my ob-gyne and we met in the hospital. from there, we had to do the observation thing for the baby's heart beat and after 40 mins of lying down with all the straps around me, they decided they will do an emergency cs since the baby's condition is going unstable.. so there goes.. i didnt suffer from any labor pain,, dunno what is that.. ahaha..

I did pushing. I didn't count, but it took overall less then 10 mins. I didn't have an Epidural or anything as a pain reliever and I didn't think labor hurt.

I had a c section because the umbilical cord of my baby boy is in his head and to the other parts of his body...

I went natural/non-medicated childbirth. I was actually in labor all day, but thought I was in false labor because the contractions were not consistent and not strong (and I had had them on/off for 2-3 weeks). I started vomiting at 1am that night and when I did, my water broke. After that, I am lucky I made it to the hospital. I was at 5cm when I arrived, but went to 10 cm in 20 min . When I told the hospital doctor that I needed to push, he didn't believe me. My doctor had not even arrived at the hospital when I started to push. My son was born after about 15 mins of pushing.

i was in labor for 24 hours then ended up w/ a c-section as my daughter was in fetal stress her umbilical cord was wrapped around her legs 3 times. i wanted to do it all natural but it doesnt always work out that way...bythat point all i wanted was for her to be healthy!

I did an all natural birth. I was in labor from 2 am till 9:54 pm. I was only pushing for about thirty something minutes. It wasn't really painful to me just tireing and burned for a few minutes before the end of it. He's now 13 months old.

I had my baby girl in January and I pushed her out in 20 minutes! Her heart rate dropped after I got my epidural but thankfully the nurses got it back up, I thought I was going to have to have an emergency c section and I was so scared! She was fine though and came out fast!

I almost had to have a c-section... After 24 hours of labor, they told me that if I didnt rest for a little while, I would have to because I wouldnt have the strength or the energy to push him out. After they gave me something to help me relax, I took a quick nap, and when I came back to consciousness, I was able to push him out in less than an hour. Its AMAZING what a little bit of sleep will do for a person! He is now 9 months old and 24lbs! A fat baby boy! :D

I was in labor for 13 hours with my daughter and had to push for about 2 hours because she was comming out face first, it was horrible! Especially because the epidural wore off, but I was determined not to have a c-section after that long labor.

I had a forceps-assisted vaginal delivery after a 20hr labour and 2.5hrs pushing. I was aiming for a natural birth so did not have the epidural, but needed a last minute spinal block for the forceps :( My daughter was 9lb 6oz and 55cm.

Since I have never had a c-section I can't tell you about it, but with my first 4 hours of labor & 30 minutes of pushing. With my second 17 hours of labor and one hour of pushing. If we give our bodies the time to work, they could really be born without any pushing at all. I was in a midwifery class today about undisturbed birth and the idea is that really your uterus does most of the work for you...so yea...I am kinda rogue like that! lol

I pushed for 3 hours, but he was descending/retracting that whole time. They even tried the vacuum, but it popped off. His head was so close- it was visible, but he wouldn't descend the whole way... the cord was around his neck when we he was eventually born via C-section- maybe that was why?? I would have like to been able to push the whole way- hopefully next time!

LOL i wish my natural child birth went that way! I pushed on my first child for over 12 hours. My 2nd was a csection and my 3rd will also be a csection. I prefer those over natural.

My water broke around noon 5 weeks before I was due. No warning but now that I look back I was in a lot of pain with my back but that was nothing new to me as I got further along my back pain worsen. I had my son at 10:46 that night via c-section as he went into distress. My doctor told me I had one last chance to push and if I couldnt get him down than they were taking him and thats what they did. I found out after I had my son that my pelvis is too small to have any babies vaginally. My son was 4lbs 13ozs and 17 3/4 inches long. My second son was born via c-section as well. It was a scheduled thing but my water broke over 3 weeks early. I had back labor with him as well and couldnt get a c-section right away as I had eaten 15 minutes before my water broke. Ugh. They dont like to do surgery if you had eaten recently and I wasnt progressing very fast so they were able to wait until later to deliver him. Water broke at 8:45am and he was born at 5:50pm weighing 5lbs 13ozs and 19.5 inches long. Very long day as the hospital was full that day and I was stuck in a triage room waiting the entire day. Those beds are horrible! But at least I wasnt stuck out in the waiting room where a couple of unlucky mothers were.

Hi im back!!! teehee. My water broke at 5:30 in the morning got the epidural. Funny thing was that my contractions weren't the most painful experience at all, getting the iv heart more than the contractions. The only reason I got the epidural was because my contractions felt like really bad menstral cramps and they were starting to annoy me. My daughter was born at 9:35pm. That was a long day!!!
