Colic

I have 5 week old twin boys. One has colic and has long fussy periods pretty much every evening. We feed, burp, change and rock him and he still cries a lot of the time. Has anyone tried baby Ovol drops for treating colic and had success? Any other ideas or tricks to try?

my 5 month old went through colic really bad he takes both formula and breastmilk. none of the otc medicine worked what eventually helped was baking soda. i dipped his pacifer in it a little and let him suck it off. worked like a charm

i am so sorry you have to go through that jenna had colic until she was about 7 months old and it was a nightmare! but she was 3mths early so it probably doesnt normally last that long. anyway i wasnt allowed to give her anything until she was about 5mths so that would have made her 2mths corrected so you might want to check with your dr first. i was told to give her gas drops and no more than 2oz of white grape baby juice a day which really helped. i also layed her belly across my knees and swayed her while rubbing her back for gas relief and i layed her on her back and did the itsy bitsy spider with her legs that really helped release some gas too. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks so much for the advice! I do wonder if a lot may be because of the formula he is on. Maybe I'll try switching brands

Try hyoscyamine sulfate oral drops. they are amazing and they work soooo fast. they really helped my lil girl alot. also it may be painful gas so try changing his formula Enfamil Nutramagin is really good for colic. It works sooo well for my lil one. Good luck too you. You have my sympathy.

Try New Era tablets from Holland and Barret u get ones for teething aswell.I've got my 13week old on both of them and they help.I used them on my other 2 kids aswell u can give them 2 them every couple of hours.They disolve in there mouth,i got infacol for her but did'nt do nowt but the tablets do.About £5 odd but u get loads to last ages.Hope this helps
