Could you feel the testosterone wash when you were pregnant with your son?

I know this doesn't really matter, but I'm interested in what other people say.

When I was 12 weeks pregnant, I suddenly had a wave of pain hit me so hard that I fell onto the floor and just curled up there for about a minute. It felt like I'd been kicked in the belly. After that I had to RUN to the washroom and puke. It was very different from all the rest of my morning sickness, and I wonder it was a reaction to the "testosterone wash" that changed my baby's brain from neutral to male.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? I can't find anything on google about it, so I thought I'd gather some personal experiences.

I heard a lecture about the "testosterone wash" and it had been studied by some Scientists. Boys go through another "testosterone wash" during puberty. These discussions on homosexuality make me sick... that kind of playing around with sex has gone on since Bible times. Many people would rather make up there own stories than to search out the FACTS.

Yes, I know that the sex of the baby is determined at conception, but I was watching a documentary about all the changes in the fetus as it develops, and they talked about how there is a "wash" of estrogen for a girl and testosterone for a boy that affects their brains and also determines left/right brainedness. Not that he wasn't a boy before, but just part of his development to become a full-grown baby boy. When I learned that, it caught my attention, and I thought there might be a connection between that and my experience.

Never heard of it. The sex of the baby is determined way before 12 weeks anyway and the testes start developing around 9 weeks so not sure what happened to you there.... I would have gone to the doctors for a check up.

Thanks, but don't worry, this is purely out of curiosity. My baby boy is 16 months old and now that he's not a "baby" anymore and taking up all of my attention, I have the brain capacity to think again and wonder about things!

I have a 3.5 yr old son and was 32 -33 when pregnant with him. Never got sick. Never felt pain.

Get it checked out. Baby is boy well before 12 weeks. No such thing as testosterone wash. Your pregnancy is normal for you no matter what you experience, but pain is a warning signal to you to get checked out.

Good Luck!

No, I didn't. I was scared that something might be wrong, so I didn't want to talk about it in case it might come true.
