That Gentle Naturals stuff works awesome. I love the smell of it! Cortisone cream works too. Also, don't wash baby's hair that often.

My daughter had it bad. I used this special shampoo from mustela you can find it at toys r'us. It works well and smells great and it's tear free.

I had the same problem and I couldn't get it to go away for anything. Then I tried Gentle Naturals and after two uses her head was cleared up and she had a terrible case of it. You should really give it a try. I got it from walmart!

Mine had cradle crap (as I call it). It's a total pain in the butt isn't it. His was the exact same thing, as soon as water hit it, it would come back. I ended up going to a pediatric dermatologist. She prescribed an ointment and shampoo it was the only thing that got rid of it. I had tried oil and brush and the hydrocortisone 2%. I just kept nagging his regular pediatrician until he sent me to the derm. thankfully I did b/c his wouldn't have gone away with the other stuff anyhow. So, my advice, just keep on it and if you think it's not getting any better, ask for a referral to a pediatric derm.

My nephew had really bad cradle cap when he was a baby and my sister asked his doctor and she said to use like a pea size amount of Selsin Blue for a little while and it should clear up but DO NOT GET IT IN HIS EYES.

Dentinox shampoo helps, it is specially made to help cradle cap. You can get it from the baby isle in the supermarket. I really like it, not only does it really help with the flakiness but it also leaves baby's hair lovely and soft too :)

Well my son had it until he was about 4 mon old and i just used his little soft brush and the oil and shampoo everytime i gave him a bath and it would go up into his hair instead of being stuck to his head and i would just pull it out and it completely went away. But my son has long hair so that might of helped. Hope to help.

I ordered an organic shampoo from Original Sprout that is designed for babies with sensitive skin/scalp and cradle cap. My son's was horribly crusty and cleared with a couple days of use. It is a bit expensive...like $20 for a 16oz bottle. It lasts quite a while though. I purchased it about 8 months ago and have only used 1/4 of the bottle or so.

Cradle cap is caused by excess oil so using oil will only make it worse in some cases but in others it helps. Here is a site with some tips on how others cured their child's cradle cap www.myhomeremedies.com/topic.cgi?topicid=57.

My little one had a mild case and I was told it would go away on it's own. I just combed it before her bath to loosen it up a bit. i switched her from the Johnsons body wash stuff to aveeno b/c she has sensitive skin and her cradle cap disappeared.

We tried everything, same as you. Finally my son's pediatrician prescribed hydrocortizone 2% and it cleared up.
