Did anyone do Baby and me Yoga or pilates??

i've been thinking about doing baby and me yoag or pilates to help get back in shape without leaving my daughter alone by herself in her crib or pack n play, did anyone do this and did it help?

My son was 3 months. I think the youngest in the class was 2 months and usually you can only take them up until they start walking. I brought the boppy & propped him up on it. I also brought some teethers & toys to keep him busy. You pick them up during the class for some of the poses but my son napped most of the time. Moms would change diapers & feed during the class as often as they needed to. It's the best place to be - a room full of others that understand your situation!

I was also wondering about this. How old do you think your baby has to be before you can pull this off?

I did mommy n me yoga at our local hospital (not one I have insurance at but it offers the classes to anyone) a year and a half ago and it was excellent! It was a great workout but more importantly 9 of us formed a play group out of it and we still get together to this day. All of our kids were born within 3 months of one another. It has been a great support system & my son and I each have some fun new friends out of it.

I have been teaching Pilates for over 10 years and have 2 kids, the Pilates method is truly beneficial for post natal mams. look for baby and me pilates dvd's to do at home : )

yes, i did baby and me yoga, i loved it! in our class we often carried our babies thru various yoga poses, so it could be quite a workout.
