I have a brand new baby girl, and she has not pooped in a couple of days. does anyone know if this is normal, and what i can do about it. I can't stop worring about it.

formula fed babies can go every other day and its normal. Its a tough thing but hopefully its not a n issue

well i spoke to a nurse, and she told me it was normal for a one month old not to poop for 2 weeks, as long as she is peeing lots, and the pee dosn't turn yellow, it will be ok.

If your baby is brand new and breastfed it is not normal until 6-8 weeks for them not to poop several times a day. If your baby is breastfed I recommend contacting a Le Leche League leader through their hotline (number on their website) and contacting your doctor. A leader can give helpful hints and hook you up with lactation consultants who can help you resolve problems and continue nursing.

This is normal if she's breastfed they can go up to 10 days and formula fed she might just be getting used to the formula and might not poo every day.

Is she breastfed? It's not unusual for breastfed babies to go anything up to 10 days without pooping. Although my little man was a poop machine when he first came home (still is actually!!).
