Has anyone used a pregnancy pillow and what are your experiences and opinions on one?

I am 5'7" tall and have a bad back and a bad knee (one which I had surgery on and one which needs surgery) so sleeping is always an issue, even when not pregnant. Now that I am pregnant I am having an even more difficult time getting comfortable. I use a body pillow which helps a little bit but I still need something more or different.

i used a regular body pillow some nights and just an extra pillow other nights, and some nights nothing at all. IT all depended on how i felt that day. I had the best little inflatable travel knee pillow i ordered from avon - it was a navy blue bone shaped little thingy, so simple but so great. I liked it because i could roll over and just hold it between my knees, so it was much easier to get comfortable. With the bigger pillows I hated being stuck on one side uncomfortable, but too tired and unwilling to turn over because that meant having to re-pillow myself. I was so sad the day that my black lab decided to put his teeth through it. I kept it for weeks hoping to patch it or something, but that never happened. I really suggest trying something small.

I used the full body preggo pillow...looks like a snake..and loved it. It really helped, but towards the end of my pregnancy I found that I needed additonal pillows to help get some sleep. Hope that helps.

I used the Snoogle pillow and only used it when my back was especially bad because it felt too bulky to me. It did help though, especially to have between your knees. I know Boppy makes a smaller wedge shaped pillow and I've heard good things about it.

I had a body pillow and used it for a while, but with a growing belly it soon got in the way. I ended up buying a Boppy maternity pillow and it was a lifesaver. You are uncomfortable enough with just being pregnant and the boppy pillow made my life so much easier. Even though my baby is now one month old, I still use it.

i used a pregnacy pillow and loved it, i mean docters say to sleep on a certain side and when u get bigger that pillow will come in handy, i slept with the thicker part under my belly and then the thinner part between my legs
