Zac doesn't have symptoms of colic but only a little wind that sometimes is hard to get rid of. We were going to get gripe water but the chemist said to use infocol. An hour after we gave infacol to him, he started to scream like he was in pain. Has anyone experienced these side effects for infacol?

I used to express to a bottle and mix the drops in that and feed him. If you think it is the drops stop using them. I was also told to burp/wind my baby every 30mls if on bottle OR every 3 min if on breast and do not give in till you get a burp up. I used to also massage my boys tummy with baby oil in a circular motion to release any build up. Hope one of these things works for your little baby. It can be distressing but it does get easier on them (and us)

I had exactly the same reaction with my son. I don't use infacol anymore. The side effects for infocol make everything so much worse. Use gripe water when you need to and try massaging his tummy and pumping his legs like he would be running and any gas down at that end should come out. as for burping i usually birp him almost everytime i pick him up, or move him. he is very hard to bip but since i have stopped using all that stuff hes been pretty good.. go with your gut if you think its causing more harm then good you are probably right.

My son was fine with infacol. He had a bad painful wind problem and the drops seemed to help. Are you mixing in his milk or dropping into his mouth? We have now weaned my son off the drops and he seems fine.
