I am waiting on his pediatrician to call me back, but I'm really nervous right now. My son is 7wks old today! He was fussy and fighting his sleep for about 1-2 hrs while spitting up. He just spit up and along w/the spit up was brown mucus or something of the sort along with red blood! This came out of his mouth. He has been a little fussy the pass few days, he normally is a very smiley, happy, and "talkative" newborn. He has also been drooling the pass few days. Yesterday I changed a poopy diaper in the late morning and then he didn't have another poopy diaper until today's late morning. I know it's normal for newborns to not poop for up to 2 days, not too worried about that. Not sure if any of you mothers have experienced any of this?!?! I'm mainly concerned about the bloody mucus. The drooling and fussiness sounds like teething to me, he has been chewing on his finger the pass few days as well. Can babies teeth at 7 wks old? I was born with teeth, I guess they are called sugar teeth....

I am breastfeeding, and I have cut dairy out of my diet! He seems to be fine w/a piece of cheese on a sandwich and mac n cheese, but if I eat cereal or drink milk then he is really gassy! Babies really spit up blood from a dairy intolerant!!?!!? His pediatrician called me back and I have to take him in right away tomorrow morning, she doesn't want to wait till Monday and she said it's very good that I did call. That all makes me feel better that I wasn't just being paranoid, but now I'm being paranoid because I'm wondering what is wrong w/him!!

Ive heard that babies can teeth that early and its probably more likely if you were born with teeth but I wouldnt just put it down to that I would do what your doing and get him checked. My friends baby spit up blood and its because hes dairy intolerant. Are you breastfeeding? Have you been gorging on dairy?
