My baby is 3 months old. She recently started to cry constantly every night and will not stop when she is being comforted. There is a small amount of tears from her eyes, but excess screaming. Could it be colic?? or Could it be something else?? Nothing I am doing is working. Please help!!!!

Your baby may be cold, or uncomfortable from wondering where you are. Most moms sleep with fussing babies, then you are rested and so is baby. If the baby is breast fed and you have nursed her then she may be going through a growth spurt and needs to nurse again.

have you recently switched formulas or tried new food in her diet? that could cause colic or gas or ear aches, etc. try gas drops.

Does she cry non-stiop or stop for like 30 seconds then start nack up? lmao sorry I went through the same thing. My daughter cried all the time. she wanted obserd things like to be shook back and forth in the car seat and alot of motion. She started growing out of it by 4 months..good luck...if it continues and she doesnt break for like a minute or so and sounds like shes in pain that isnt normal. you gotta try to tell if its a frustrated cry or a pain cry. you will figure it out. frustration is normal. some babies are just fussier than others. they know what they want but cant have it at an early age. they will grow out of it. good luck

My daughter would scream all the time when she had Thrush, it seemed like nothing I did would work. Cuddling, feeding, swaddling, singing, nothing would help and then the doctor told us it was Thrush and gave us medicine then she was back to her normal self. It looks like white stuff stuck to their gums and cheeks at first i thought it was formula but its hard to get off if you try to wipe it out.

Is it just for a period of time in the evening, or is it during the late night? If you can rule out things like gas and constipation, reflux, hunger, or other discomfort... then know that it's actually really common for infants to get fussy for a few hours in the evening (often due to overstimulation from the day). Sometimes getting them tightly swaddled, laying them on their side or stomach (like on your lap or arm), and getting them moving - swinging or swaying can help them feel more safe and secure. You can also make loud shushing noises, or use a white noise machine (as loud as you need to so she can hear it over her crying). Those things help replicate the feelings in the womb (yes, it's very noisy in the womb) and help newborns settle down.

We loved the book "The Happiest Baby on the Block" by Dr Harvey Karp. It talks a lot about what colic is and isn't, and how to calm and soothe your baby in those first few months. We were so grateful for it! Hope something helps!

it could be colic but if i was you i would take her to the doctor to get checked. I have a cousin inlaw that her baby suddenly started acting like yours she took him to the hospital in the evening and the doctor look at him said he didnt think anything was wrong sent them home and it the middle of the night she brought him back because he was still screaming and they did some tests and it turned out he had a blockage in his intestines and had to get send to the city asap to have it fixed it was really serious but the doctor said that its actually very common with babys. good luck
