Thanks heaps guys.. I really appreciate it.. Ill go thru that checklist everytime now :) He likes attention so i guess thats what he wants all the time! I think he could also be bored so i need to find some mummy and baby groups to go to and get us out of the house.
Nikki.. I love ur dp!! I totally agree with you :)

Nikki nailed alot of the key points - go through a checklist of potential "issues"

Have you considered playing music (either instrumental or children's music). Are there mommy & me groups in your community that can help you get out of your home and also help him to socialize? What about programmes at your local library? I got involved in a music together class when my son was 5 months. He loved it and I enjoyed getting out too. It's crucial to have friends near by to help support you through those times when you're at your wits end. Stay strong and remember you're a great mommy doing an amazing job! You should be proud of yourself :-)

Play with him, make sure he is not in pain, give him cuddles, take him for a walk, sing to him.
Babies communicate through crying, screaming and whining, what does he need when he whines, is his nappy dry, has he had enough food/drinks, is he warm enough, is he tired, does he want some attention, does he want some cuddles, is he teething? are his clothes uncomfortable? You need to make sure all of his needs are met, take time for yourself when he is sleeping, it's most likely just a phase, so bear with him, give him lots of love and support.
