How can I get into shape while breastfeeding and how do I manage to set aside time to work out as a full time stay at home mom?

I have had two kids back to back in less than 2 years. With my daughter, I gained more than 70lbs. Prior to pregnancy, I was about 155. When I gave birth I was 228lbs. I managed to drop about fifty pounds of that leaving me at 178lbs when I found out I was pregnant again with my son Kareem. When I gave birth to him I was at 209 lbs which left me at a reasonable gain of 31 lbs I have lost about 21lbs of the 31lbs leaving me at 188lbs postpartum. I had my first postpartum visit a little more than a week ago and I asked my OBGYN if I could go on a diet, he informed me that you are not supposed to diet while breastfeeding. Well, I am not happy with the way my body looks. I have that c-section pouch that looks like it is composed of loose skin that has no feeling whatsoever. Its gross. Please help!

There are many different ways to diet. You should not completely cut out any type of food but you should watch the amount of calories that you take in and make sure that you choose foods that are good for you. After I had my first son, I found that taking short walks to the park or around the block helped me get back in shape and feel better about my self. My son also enjoyed the fresh air.

How old is your nursling? While I did not diet when my dd was little (under 1), after she turned one I started a slight diet. I also get up early to go to the gym.

You shouldn't really diet, as in cut lots of calories. You can *change* your diet though. Make sure everything you eat is healthy. Lots of fruits, veggies and lean protein. My toddler is used to me working out. She joins in sometimes. I try to squeeze it in when my baby is in a good mood. She will play on the floor and my toddler will play around her. I have a little bit of a pouch and I never had a c-section. It's just what comes with having kids and stretching out your skin. I love Tae-Bo. It's a great workout that helps tone everything up. I'm slowly getting back into it because it's a hard workout. I also do walking videos and a dancing video.
