How to go into labor faster - Castor oil, it is a laxative. Take 2 tbs of that and you'll be in labor within a few hours. Raspberry herbal tea will also start contractions, but the castor oil works the best!

do stairs or go running to go into labor faster.. anything physically exerting that will get your blood pumping and your heart rate up.. sex works too but be careful with that bc it can end up scaring the hell outta you if its pops the blood wall outside the uterus when you're real close to having the baby.. we didnt know about that little fact and did our shabang and low and behold i thought i had to pee; got up to go to the bathroom, and as soon as i pulled my pants down started gushing blood everywhere! t\we thought we'd killed our baby..

Everything I heard about how to go into labor faster......sex, taking walks, bumpy car rides, spicy food. Basically I think people came up with this stuff just to give pregnant women something to do while they wait out the last few weeks. The baby will come when baby is ready. The last few weeks are the worst, but you will be amazed how better you feel when it's over.

sorry to say there isn't a way to go into labor faster! If you are teetering on the brink of labor (unlikely when you're not even 38 weeks) walking and sex can help but otherwise nothing will get you there without good old fashioned pitocin or rupturing membranes (which shouldn't be done without an indication at this gestational age)!

using castor oil may cause the baby to have a bowel movement in utero which could lead to a respiratory infection...i was wishing to go into labor faster as well, i was miserable, just try to enjoy your last few days of having your baby all to yourself, measure your belly, take pictures, and write a journal of how you're feeling and what you're thinking...and, don't laugh, but...i had heard rumors about eggplant parm causing labor, i had some and went into labor the next night, i'm a nurse and common sense tells me the meal had NOTHING to do with it, but, if you're craving italian after your 39th week, why not? but DON'T do castor oil...i know not everyone has problems, but why take the chance?

Oooh yeah I did it! I had half the bottle when I was 42 weeks. About a half hour later my ass was glued to the toilet for a good 4 hours. I think thats the only time I wanted an epidural, haha.

dont sue castor oil! all it will do is make you very sick and could cause your baby to have problems due to coming out to quickly, thats if it sends you into labour at all. my friend was sick as a dog all night after using the stuff. its not worth causing your child pain just because your over pregnancy

3 weeks makes the difference between baby going home with you or baby staying in the hospital for a little while. Don't rush it. When baby is ready, baby will be here. Try to stay patient. I know its hard. Let nature take its course

i wouldnt be selfish and try to go into labour this early why would you want to risk your bay coming out with problems? everyone asked me if mine was prem when she had problems as a newborn, you risk them not feeding properly and all sorts. if you are 37 weeks you are considered full term but i wouldnt be trying to go into labour til 38 weeks at least just incase they have screwed up your dates.

When you want to try lots of housework , fast walking and sex. i did housework all day and i went into labour at just on 39 weeks since it was 2am in the morning and gave birth the next night at midnight

Quoting Emily:

So you're due June 21st? You have a long way to go, lady! I didnt go into labor until I was over 43 weeks! ugh. I know you're impatient and probably sick of being pregnant, but if you were to go into labor right now, your baby would NOT be ready. The longer he's in there cooking, the better. He's still developing right now. There are tons of old wives tales to induce labor when you're closer to your due date. Honestly I wouldnt try any until you are 39 weeks. Due dates are famously off by 2 weeks anyways. And no matter how hard you try, that baby isnt going to come out until he's ready. And your body will not go into labor until it's ready to.

I agree 100%. 3 weeks to go could really be 5 weeks to go, and that is dangerous! Nature works very well on its own, so let that little baby cook some more, when they are ready, they will pop out of the oven!
