My 5 1/2 month old son doesn't sleep well during the night... the longest stretch is for 4 hours and then he usually wakes every 2 hours after that. I breast feed him when he wakes although I wait a bit to see if he falls back asleep on his own, which he never does! He sleeps in a cosleeper next to our bed. He goes to bed between 9 and 10. He naps about 3 or 4 times during the day anywhere from 15 mins to 1.5hrs. I need to get more sleep!!! Any suggestions?

Thanks Leyla. I can't imagine another 11 months of this! We are thinking of putting him in his own room. Last night I slept in a different room but his sleeping pattern was the same. I didn't go into him when he woke, just watched him on the monitor, but eventually he cried and I fed him. He's such a happy baby that I can't complain too much just am tired of feeling tired!!!!

Gosh, you must be having such a tough time! My son kept doing this until 15 months old, then all of a sudden he stopped waking up in the night!. We actually moved him into his own bedroom around that time, so perhaps that's what it was. And we stopped co-sleeping with him too.
