I agree..routine.. Unless your baby is anything like mine.. i had him in a routine for about 4 weeks then one day he decided he didnt wanna sleep unless he was in my arms.. and everytime i put him down he woke up.

Bath & Rocking Helps..!! Singing softly helps my 1 month old to fall asleep better as well!! good luck!

Use a routine. My daughter did the same in the beginning but then I started a routine. Every night at 8 I give her a warm bath and use Johnson&Johnson's bedtime wash, and then I give her a massage with the bedtime lotion. This makes her very sleepy already! Then I rock her and nurse her until she falls asleep. Which usually takes like 5-10 minutes. At first it took forever but now it is so fast and she sleeps through the night since I started that! If she isn't that hungry I just hold her close so she can hear my heartbeat and she falls asleep quickly as well. Good luck!

One word: ROUTINE! Get a night time routine in place and try not to vary from it. For our daughter's first 5 months we did a routine of: 9:30pm bath, 9:45pm last bottle of the night, then 10pm bed. At first she fought it a bit but fell right into routine after a few weeks.

Of course those times are what worked best for us & may not be for everyone. So experiment with what times work best for you and your baby. Best of luck ;)

Keep it dark or dim when you get up to feed him, and talk softly and quietly, if at all. If that doesn't help he might be napping too much in the daytime. Try keeping him up a little bit longer than usual in the day, or pushing his bedtime back a little bit too.

My son used to do that, I would feed, burp and rock him for about 15 min after feeding, but I would keep the room dark. Maybe try to play some soft lullabys. That is what usually helped us. ~Good luck
