How Do I lose weight after my pregnancy

My son was born Sept 13, 2009 right now I havent lose any weight yet. I try to limit my food intake but its no good, my ob gyne says not to do heavy activity upto 6 mos bcoz I had C sections. Any diet tips? Any food that I should eat/not eat. Wish I can do breastfeed but It just lasted 1 month.I am so envious of those people who lose weight just like that esp those hollywood stars :)

the problems i had w/ 2nd pregnancy i didnt gain as much as 1st time (26 lbs) 2nd was only 14... thus far i have lost 20 (mine were 1yr 1mo 1wk 1day apart so i never lost my 1st baby wt). bf has helped most but it is a little tough... i eat salads, fruits, drink lots of water, snack on healthy stuff- but if i crave something i eat it b4 i over indulge. i also invested in a dvd from stroller fit "restore the core" but if u cant xercise then i'd just do some walking- at mall if its cold/icky out, walk up stairs not use elevator (if dr ok) carrying baby, park further away... things u hear most often but most ppl ignore cuz there's no "immediate" gratification.. good luck!

Whatever you do don't look at the stars as a basis of what's normal! They have nutritionists and personal chefs & trainers to help them back to their former body. when combined with the crazy tendency to induce labor early so they won't get "so big" they are anything but the norm. BF is the easiest way to go, but it sounds like this didn't work, so maybe try some lite exercise (after getting the ok from your doc). I'm not sure where you live, but if it's nice outside what really helped me was taking a long walk with my kiddo in the stroller every other day. Walking may sound weak, but when done often enough & at a brisk pace it can really make a difference. I've heard that Pilate's & yoga help re-tone after having a baby, but I was never that ambitious. I'd avoid empty carbs (the whites: bread, pasta, rice) try to get your carbs & fiber from whole wheats & brown rice; look for items with 5 or more grams of fiber per serving. Eat, eat, eat veggies (obviously) but be wary of broccoli, cauliflower, & beans as they cause GAS & bloating. Say NO to diet soda's, they also cause bloating & water retention. Try to go with watered down juice or tea's if you don't like plain water. Also be aware of empty calories you might get from fluids i.e.- mixed coffee drinks, soda's, sugery tea's... I was appalled to learn the calorie count of my daily double mocha. Good luck & try not to stress about it. Stressing will only make it harder to shed the baby pounds! And remember to cut yourself some slack; it's only been 4 months! I think it was at least 6 months before I started to resemble my old self.
