Waited till my daughter was 3 (actually found out I was expecting her brother the day before her birthday). Wasn't ready to have another baby before that. I had a very long labour with my daughter and ended up with an emergency section. I had a planned section with my son because I couldn't bear to go through a labour again but I ended up developing SPD and he was an undiaganosed breech, so it was a good job I fought so hard.
No more babies for us, we only ever wanted 2, and I was told that they could almost guarantee that I would develope SPD again and that I'd probably end up in a wheelchair by the end of the pregnancy and they couldn't guarantee I would get back out of it again. So my husband and I decided that it would be safer and fairer to our children for me to never get pregnant again.

Its very easy early on to feel ready for another, i was that way until my daughter turned 8 months then i thought maybe i should wait a little while as she is a little more demanding now but so much more fun. She turns 1 in 2 weeks and i feel very ready for another but husband wants us to wait until she is 18months so will hold off until then.

We had our son January 2009 and that was by emergancy c-section. I've heard that your body needs 2-3 years to heal after a c-section for all 15 layers to heal COMPLETELY, but recent advice I've read on C-Section is on average 18-23 month wait. Not sure what advice to believe, but certainly don't want a abruption like can happen if you get preggie too close to the last c/s. You can go into early labour and have a low birth labour from having babies close together on a vag birth, let alone a c/s. Not sure what to do myself. We want to try again, and for the past 6 months hubby's been pining for a girl, but I've only just started wanting another baby.
Not sure if I could handle the extra fatigue ontop of the lack of sleep already. Plus I had really bad SPD at 17 weeks and was put on bedrest by 22wks, and now I've got a tilted cervix which I didn't have before, and I have PCOS.
Took nearly 11 years to get Aaron after loosing 7 other babies...I feel like I should take advantage of the hormones as I'm still breastfeeding, and probably have a better chance catching a good egg at the moment. What to do what to do!?!

My fiance and I are planning on keeping our kids four years apart...this is the plan haha. We wanted to space it that far out so that we could properly save for each child's college and, we thought we could care for them better financialy and emotionally. My little boy was born naturally and I would love for it to go that way again. Hope this helps you better your decision ♥

I have 3 children. My first 2 are 5 years apart and my 2nd 2 are 9 years apart. I think it was a nice stretch. My oldest is almost 14 my 2nd 9 and my 3rd 4 months. Most of my friends all had theres close together and had a much rougher time than I have. Although I am a single mother and they had help. Right now I work at least 40 hours a week and can and do spend the time each one of them needs and wants. The older two can venture on there own so I can spend the extra time envolved with an infant which is very important to have that time with all of them. I had all of them natural.

well technically i didn't wait long, but the 2nd one wasn't planned.
my son has just turned 10mths & i am nearly 18wks pregnant with my 2nd. they will be about 15mths in age difference. i'm hoping for a natural birth this 2nd time too.

Well, we had been trying for almost 2 years. First off, our daughter is 9. We wanted to wait till she was 6 or 7, but I guess even after I stopped the pill, I couldn't conceive. We stopped and said, if it's meant to happen it will happen. So, now that she's 9, I'm 8 months pregnant and she's so happy that she'll be a big sister. More so since it's a girl!! It just depends on you and your husband/partner. Baby due at the end of June! Our 9 year old will be out of school for summer break ;-)

My husband and I have an 8 month old daughter that I had through a c-section. We had to do IVF to get pregnant (my husband is in a wheelchair and we tried for a year naturally) and we still have some frozen embryos. We plan on doing another transfer when our daughter is 14 months so that they should be about 2 years apart. We have to pay for each year that they are frozen too, so it works out better financially.

I got pregnant with my second baby when my daughter was 15 months old. My girls are 2 years and 3 days apart. I was induced with my first baby at a week overdue and I went into labor on my own with my second daughter. Both were quick and unmedicated labors! It is hard right now with children so close in age because my oldest just turned two and I have a newborn, but im hoping that they will be close friends later on.

I had my second when my son turned 5. I started trying when my son was 2 because I wanted them to be close in age. I'm so happy that it took awhile because it makes things so much easier to have one who can do most things on his own and is school most of the day.

I got pregnant when my daughter was 3 months. I had a c-section for both, the first was an emergency due to failure to progess, 2cm dilated after 37 hours of labour, and the second was elective - I was not going through that again!

We waited almost11 years. We were young and just starting out when we had our first child, a wonderful girl, little lady now, almost 12. And now we are married, have our careers just about on track, and we had our son in september, almost 8 months old now. I had them both regular childbirth. 8Lbs, 11oz & 10Lbs, 10 oz !!

My son is 5 months old now. I want to wait until he is 4 years old to have the next one, so we will be more financially secure and I will have finished college and have a better job. But after the second, I will try for the third when the second is 2 years, because by that time I will be 31 (if everything goes as planned.) And hopefully the next two will be natural, just like my first.

My daughter is 8 months old. I am not pregnant however, apart of me wouldnt mind to get pregnant now that way they are close in age but another part of me wants to wait until April/May of next year that way the new baby would be born when she was 2.5 but just talk it over with your partner and see whats best for you guys.

I'm expecting now, and my children will be 22 months apart. I had a "normal spontaneous vaginal delivery" (NSVD: how's that for doctor speak? It was vaginal and not induced) with my first. We'll have to see how #2 goes in abou6 weeks! I hope to have another NSVD.

I got pregant with my second daughter at 5months after a C-section, i had a VBAC birth with the second and now after 23months expecting my 3rd, still waiting to see how this one will be born naturally or section. Remember you are most fertile during the first year after a baby.

My daughter is almost 16 months old and I am 10 weeks pregnant. My first was a vaginal birth and I am hoping that I am able to do that with this one as well. We decided it was a good time for us and what we were ready for. You just have to talk it over with your spouse/partner and decide what is best for you and your situation! Best of luck!

I am having baby # 4 due in July. My oldest ( my son ) will be 7 in June ... my daughter ( my second ) will be 3 the end of May and I have a 19 month old daughter that will be 2 in Sept. I had regular child birth with them all . Caitlin my 2 yr old was born 3 months early so with her she was all natural with no meds.

It all depends on how close you want them in age....my two kids are 7 years apart, and I am ok with that....Use your judgement it is all up to you...Just remember the closer they are the more problems you have at one time. I had an emergency c-section with my first and a planned c-section with my second and love both my girls dearly!!!!!!!!

well when my little girl was 5 weeks old i found out was pregnant with my son . . obv not planned haha but its great with only a 10 month age gap, they're so close now. Leon came along A LOT quicker than sophie, i didn't have time for any pain relief (despite my arguing with the midwife ha) pains started full on and then 20 minutes i had 4 week early 5lb baby!
We started trying number 3 after xmas, so when leon was 8 months old ish. So there will be a 15 month age gap between leon and the new baby!x

I waited until my daughter was almost three years old, we wanted her potty trained. The thing is though, that she may be going through some stages of jealousy and is regressing BIG TIME with the potty training at 4 yrs old now. I had a natural birth, and my hormones were just starting to get back to normal by the time I got pregnant again. I was finally feeling better and lost all of my pregnancy weight, so I kinda wish I had them closer together so i wasn't teased with feeling normal again. Haha. That way I could have just got it done and over with. =) But I am super happy with my kids and their ages. Probably only waiting until our newest is about to turn 2 rather than three this time. We'll see!!
