I was on the nuva ring for a short period of time to help regulate my cycle. The nice thing was you didn't have to take a daily pill. The thing I didn't like was having to take it out and put it back in when you do the hanky panky. I now have the Mirena implant and love it! You barely get a period, ocassional spotting. The bad thing is my mind plays tricks on me that I'm pregnant because I don't get the trusty ol period each month.

I was on the Nuva Ring for a while. I liked that I didn't have to really think about it, I just marked on my calander when I was supposed to take it out and put another one in. I thought It was a little wierd trying to put it in the first time, but it was like second nature after the first 2 times. I really liked it and would have continued using it but my boyfriend didn't like it. He said he could feel it.

I was using the Nuva Ring a few years ago. Not for birth control, but to regulate my cycle, so I can't tell you if it actually works in that area.
Pros were that I didn't have to remember to take a pill every day at the exact same time. Also, it is supposedly a lower dose of hormones.
Cons were that I felt like it kept sliding out, and once in a while it actually did when I went to the bathroom. As soon as I got on it I got so incredibly depressed! My mood swings were awful. My husband and I were engaged when I decided it wasn't worth it, and for about a month after stopping I was even crazier than before. It was awful. My poor fiancee! I felt so bad. I only made it five months on that thing.
Now we don't use any hormone birth control.
