i have been stugglin from post natal depression and i was wondering if people could let me know how they are copin with it themselves and what they do to help take there mind off it... things like that... thank you

hey amy... i was diagnosed with PND when my son was 8 weeks old. I wasnt coping, i hated brest feeding for the one and only reason being i felt so isolated and alone i would bawl my eyes out everytime he was hungry! What was worse he would feed every 45 mins to an hour and would feed for almost 2 to 3 hours but the nurses kept saying it was normal. To be honest i could see they were concerned but i knew they couldnt say to just pop him on formula either they told me to eat more of all things to see if that would help my breast milk!! I pushed throught it until he was 3 months and put him onto formula and i didnt look back! He was so much happier and so was i, I started to attend mothers group in my local area with mums who had bubs around the same age and it was so great to be able to go and know that the things i went through with my son, so many others did with similar things. I have made some good friends that have babies too which helps so much because i dont get to see my other frens very much that dont have children. Im not sure if this is anything that u have experienced but i hope it helps a little!!
