I put on around exactly 1 stone (about 14ibs). Although I was a tiny bit over my ideal weight for my height before pregnancy, after having Charlie, I weighed the same as I did pre pregnancy, which I was glad about, and I didn't change my eating habits either (although it did get to the pint I couldn't eat as much LOL!). 6 months on though, i've kinda still remained the same weight dispite trying. :oD

I gained about 20 lbs in my second pregnancy, thats including the weight I lost in the first 3 mo. I lost sbout 15lbs, so to gain 20lbs w/ quints really made my drs nervouse. They wanted me to gain at least 70 lbs, I was like that never going to happen. But I lost it all and then some when they were born. I breast feed for a few weeks, and it doesnt help you lose any weight. I lost all my extra weight 3 wks after I stopped breastfeeding. Guess it depends on the person. Good luck

I gained 70 with my first ... lost it all before he turned 6 months, he is now 20 months old! And with my second I gained 65 ... she is 4 months old and I am stuck with less then 10lbs to go!!! I breastfeed/pump and I think that it really helps loose the weight and it is best for the baby :O) Good luck and enjoy it!!!

Hi Chanell,
A woman should average a healthy weight gain of 12 kgs, 4 of that is fat that a woman would keep after birth unless exercising to loose it. I gained 15kg and have still got 2kg to loose to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Dont be too worried about it just try to keep eating healthy and not oo much deep fried food.

I have four weeks left in this, my first pregnancy, and I am extremely happy to say that I have actually lost 30lbs. I did have weight to loose in the first place and my doctor has been very supportive. I have also worked with a nutritionist and I have lost the weight during the entire pregnancy and have eaten about 2000 a day!

I started at about 147 in June. Which is when I got pregnant. weighed 170 in August. It is November and I weigh 190. I have gained 40lbs in 5 and a half months. I was drinking alot of juice. 64 oz a day of juice and eating whatever tasted good. I have replaced the juice with water and sweet food with fruit and alot of veggies. My doctor gave me the You can get diabeties while pregnant scare.
