How old was your baby when they started to hold their head up?

My baby couldn already do it as soon as he was born! and the day we brought him out of hospital we laid him on his tummy and he just lifted his head and looked around everywhere. At my 4 week check up my health nurse said he should be able to do it for a few seconds but he was already doing it for a few minutes by then!

my son could do it briefly 2 days after he was born, but fully hold it up at about 1.5 months or so because by 3 he pulled himself up to sitting. i put a boppy around him to make sure that he doesn't jerk backwards & hurt himself, but for the most part he sat upright all on his own & sat back up no matter how many times i tried to push him back (i was a paranoid mom who was scared that it could mess up his back).

My youngest was very wobbly until he was about 3 months...... I thought it was a bit strange but the paediatrician just said he was a little slow probably due to the fact that he was a little twisted after a very fast labour and that i should only be concerned if there is still no control at 5 - 6 months!! He is developing fine now at 9 mnths!!

I think my little girl got some head control when she was around a month or so. Babies develop very differently though, so she may be a couple months before she really gets it. She is beautiful :)
thanks, shes a doll : )

my baby started right from birth. she os two months now and does it great but still is very unstable lol all babies are different when it comes to that. some have more of a want to hold their own head up and look around. that is just curiosity, some could care less and would rather relax.
