My son doesn't like to be on his stomach, so it's hard to teach him to crawl. He is about 6 and a half months, and I'm starting to think he should be trying to achieve this goal by now.

My son started to crawl at about 10.5 months. He mastered it really quickly and is close to walking now. He's just a year old, today actually!

7 months........remember all babies are different! Try not to stress........a lot of babies skip crawling and go right to walking!

My daughter is just 7 months and she has been creeping for a couple of weeks, but not full blown crawling yet.
Some kids don't crawl at all!

My son just turned 9 months old. And hes only JUST started crawling last week. I call his style the 'Squashed Frog'...

6 months old is actually fairly young to be even trying to crawl so I wouldnt worry at all.
My son HATED tummy time with a PASSION too at first, but he eventually got used to it. Get a tri-pillow and plonk it under his chest. His body will be off the floor abit and he'll start looking around and, trust me, eventually will want to move around so just WILL. Its an inbuilt thing: Some babies learn to crawl, some go straight to walking. Every baby is different.

When you put him on tummy time, get down with him and play with his favourite toys. Try and get him looking at a book, or a mirror under his head is a good one - so that he can see his reflection when he looks up.

Just be inventive, be patient and persevere. He'll do things when hes ready.

My son started doing the worm at 6 months, he was so good at it. At 9 months he started to crawl properly...I miss the worm...lol!

My son was 8 months old when he started to crawl and didn't start trying till he was 7 months. every baby is different and develops at their own stage. I wouldn't stress about it just yet. If he is nearing his 1st birthday and still not making any attempt take him to see someone.

Started commando crawling at 7 months, now at 8 months is crawling on all fours. You don't need to 'teach' him, he'll just do it when he's ready, or go straight to walking.
