Most babies don't start sleeping through the night till they are 3-4 months. I find the best way to get my son. who is 2 and half months old, to sleep well at night is to have a routine. I know its hard to stick to a routine but if you stick to it for 3 days your baby will adjust and things will be much easier. My routine is:
6 or 7 am: Feed
8 - 8:30am: nap
10:30 or 11am: feed
12pm: nap
2:30 or 3pm: Feed
3:30 or 4pm: nap
5 - 6pm: Feed
after the supper feeding ill let him sleep for about an hour if he is tired otherwise he stays awake till bedtime. I spend most of this time playing with him and giving him some tummy time. At about 8:30 or 9 I give him his bath and start getting ready to put him to bed. I make sure that he is really wanting his bedtime feeding so that it will fill him up better. He is usually very fussy by bedtime so I let him cry a little to help tirer him out and then feed him around 10 ( I usually feed him an extra ounce at his bedtime feeding). I always feed him in the room he will be sleeping in and have the lights dim so he understands that it is bedtime. It sometime helps to have some sort of white noise in the background.

hiya,
how old is your daughter ? also have you checked the temp of the room ? she maybe is getting too cold or too hot ? only thinking if she's feed, changed and waking up an hour later maybe it's temp related ?

My daughted has been a great sleeping since 3 weeks old. Our trick has been we give her a bottle right before bed and let her drink as much as she wants. We also do the same routine every night. She is usually awake when we place her down, but she sucks her pacifier until she falls asleep. I also started waking her in the morning so she goes to bed at a good hour.

A bedtime routine will help a great deal. We do cereal/baby food (my daughter is almost 6 months though, so no cereal until then, bath, bottle, read a quick story, then bedtime). Aim for a bedtime of around 6pm or so, that will help. Depending on how old your baby is, they may still need a feeding at night. But keeping the bedtime activities the same will let your baby know that bedtime is coming soon and will comfort your baby as they will know what to expect.

get your baby into a routine every night and she will anticipate bedtime.
with my daughter, we read a story to her, give her a warm bath, swaddle her, and then nurse her one last time before bed. when we put her down her eyes and still fluttering a bit, but she sleeps through the night.
now if we don't give her a bath before bed she gets really cranky and doesn't want to go to sleep!

Hi, both my little ones started sleeping thru at 9 weeks old. I found that a routine helped a great deal, before their last feed of the night i turn the tv down, turn lights off so its not too bright, give them a bath, feed them and wrap them tight, put them into their cot and put a blanket over them and tuck it in and i dont hear from them for at least another 11 to 12 hours. If they cry i do a crying routne with them - i let em cry for 2mins, go in and pat them softly for 2 mins, and repeat that a few times and they soon realise that its bed time and go off to sleep. I hope i have been some help for you xxoo
