if you feel that it isnt normal i would go to a different doctor, get a second opinion. Mothers usually know if something isnt right

I would definately take him to a new doctor, dont let them blow you off! Demand they run test after test untill they find an answere. When my son was about 8 months old, he basically just stopped growing. He had always been tiny, so at first I wasnt alarmed, then he started slowly losing weight. The doctor kept telling me he was fine.. take him home and make sure he gets more calories, so I did, but no change. When I took him back they actually acused ME of not feeding him enough nutritous foods! In the end, it took me 3 months of pushing, and demanding, and testing to find out he has the intrinsic factor, where your body doesnt absorb iron properly, which we never would have known until it was too late if I would have just accepted their answeres. You know your child better than anyone! Hope this helps and gives you hope that you CAN find an answere!

I would get a second opinion and see a different doctor. Baby needs his food for his vitamins.

i agree with getting a new doc and giving your baby pedialite until you get the situation resolved but also it kinda sounds to me like it could be rotovirus. it can be very serious and if the doc wont do anything and you baby doesn't get any better i would honestly think about going to the emergency room and see if they can do anything for your child. just my opinion. i hope your lil man gets better soon.

My son had that problem he's lactose intolerant and the formula he was on on causing him pain and diarrhoea. My Doctors told me it was nothing to worry about aswell as soon as i changed him to lactose intolerant formula myself he was a much happier baby if only the doctors worried more about us then the money we are bringing in. They have never tested him for lactose intolerance but i know he has it as anything with lactose in if either of my sons have it they wake up screaming in the night and cry all day .

Try taking him down to just infant cereal for a few days and then add different food items one at a time. Keep a diary of how he reacts to different foods and then bring that diary to your next doctor visit to help pinpoint the problem. I woul definately see another pediatrican or a nutritionist though because your doctor should have suggested keeping a diary of foods instead of just passing it off as nothing.

I don't agree with the doctor. Your baby needs to eat something. Just make sure that he is getting plenty of liquids with his food.

i would definately get a second oppinion from a professional. diarreha(sp?) can be very dangerous for a baby if it is ongoing like that. maybe try giving him a little pedialite to help keep him hydrated in the meantime. but you obviously can't just stop feeding him formula. (i'm sure you know that, i'm not trying to belittle you in any way!) i too have a wierd doctor, who i sometimes use different words to discribe. lol.. but i always just trust my gut to do what s best for my baby. the best thing you can do for him is stay calm and comfort him. and get a second oppinion (: hope i helped a little at least!

I tend to think it sounds like he may be having a reaction to something he is eating. I honestly would take him off of solid foods for a week or so. Just up his formula (or breastmilk) intake and see if his digestive system improves. If it does you know there is probably something he is eating that has been bothering him.



After things get better (which hopefully they will) start introducing foods to him again (very slowly). Pay attention to whether the diarrhea starts back and if it does then you'll be able to pinpoint what it is that he is unable to eat.



If the diarrhea doesn't improve after taking him off of solids for several days then you may be dealing with some sort of bacteria or virus in which case he will need to see a doctor for testing. When it comes to intolerances in food it really isn't our doctors job to figure out what it is. We have to do that ourselves. Keep good food logs, pay attention to when their tummies are upset and make a note of it.

My 2 year old got diarreha pretty bad sometimes and well still does if he ests to many grapes. What we do is get him some Pedilyte. It is in the baby section it's basically gatorde for babies and helps their digestive system because when they get the poops it takes alot of fluid out of their little bodies which can make them sicker so just constantly making sure he is hydrated with water pedilyte juice(watered down) would maybe help. If his bowel movements don't improve go get a second opinion from a different doctor.

Try cutting out the dairy. You can get lactose free everything nowadays. It could be lactose intolerance or even an allergy.

I agree about taking him back to the Dr. for further testing, but if he has diarrhoea there is a risk of dehydration, so making sure he takes cooled boiled water or maybe even some baby-friendly rehydration salts is definately a good idea.

you can buy a formualar for diarrohoe for infants, its novalac diarrhoe sold everywere but defently ask your jp

i think you should take him back to the doctor and have him screened for intolerance thats not good enough advice
