Hi, my name is Natasha and i keep getting morning sickness even though i am not pregnant. It started last year April after i got married. Every month after the time i usually ovulated i would be sick for 2 weeks until i got my period. I got all pregnancy symptoms - nausea, bigger boobs, unable to handle smells and get really really tired etc. I thought it was from the pill i was taking so i tried another, there was no difference. Finally i gave up on the pill and then fell pregnant with my son. Now my son is 5 months old and i am having the same thing over again! I am currently not on the pill, we are using condoms because i thought it was the pill making me sick but its still happening! My period is 1 and a half weeks late but when I'm not taking the pill i usually have a 6 week cycle. I have taken a couple of pregnancy tests but all negative! Has anyone else had morning sickness but not been pregnant? I am getting so sick of it!!

I am 38 and I also am feeling like I have morning sickness everyday. Also today my hands started feeling strange, like my sense of touch just wasn't as strong. I fear the worse, but have no idea what it could be..

hey, ever since Ive had my son who is 4 months, ive felt like I might throw up when eating, and I often go to the washroom- thats how much it feels like i might. its not everytime I eat... but i did have bad morning and car sickness in the first three months and last month of my pregnancy...Im not sure what could be causing this, I did start back on the pill 2 months ago.. but it contiues..and I know im not pregnant... so I dont know..ask your doc if its really getting to you.

I also felt like I had morning sickness but was not pregnant...Every birth control I tried made me feel like I was having morning sickness. My Doctor said it was the hormones from the pill so I even tried the ring and still got sick. Like you, I stopped taking birth control and got pregnant with morning sickness 24/7 the whole 9 months. I got my tubes tied and haven' been sick since. I have 3 sons though. Don't get your tubes tied unless your 100% sure you don't want anymore kids. You could ask for a birth control with no hormones!! Also there are meds you can take for the nausia, I took Zofran and it helped...Ask your OBGYN! Good Luck finding out why you're having morning sickness but not pregnant!!!

I would talk to your doctor about getting morning sickness when you're not pregnant and have your blood work done several times during your cycle. Sounds like a hormone imbalance, remember morning sickness, tender breasts, tiredness and even smells issues aren't a result of pregnancy; its the result of hormones. It could be your body is releasing too much of one hormone or not enough of another so your body is reacting as if it is pregnant. Same idea how the depo needle works.

I have gotten morning sickness without being pregnant before, but it was all tied into my period for some reason. I don't have that now.

Have you ever mentioned this to your doctor? They may have better answers for why you're getting morning sickness but not pregnant...

Good luck!

Hi Toni,
Sounds like you have a similar problem to me but when i went to my doctor she told me that it is quite normal after giving birth that your estrogen levels drop and then going back on the pill can make you nauseous. This is why she suggested i try a stronger pill for a month. Maybe you should question your doctor about this. Did you have this problem at all before you fell pregnant? I am really hoping that taking this new pill works for me otherwise i don't know what i'm going to do! I am so sick of being so sick!!

Thanks Angela that helped a lot. At least i know I'm not the only one! I went to see my doctor and she has put me on a stronger pill that she says will help but of course i can't start taking it until my period starts. I will see if it works but if not i guess i just have to suffer it :(. I will ask my doctor about the meds if I'm still getting sick. Not ready to stop having kids yet! Only got one and would love more!! :)

Nope, never had morning sickness not pregnant before. But I'd suggest it's hormonal, since that's what causes all of those symptoms. Apart from the sickness, none of those symptoms are unbearable, and the bigger boobs used to happen to me too leading up to my period. Sorry that it's uncomfortable for you, hope you find an answer. :o)
