I was breast feeding full time. I bled for 6 weeks after my c-section and got my period right before he turned 3 months old. There was only a 5 week break. Not really fair......

Yvonne I did not breastfeed my son and if I remember correctly I didn't get my first actual period untill 4 months after birth... It also depends on if you had a natural birth or c-section birth. I myself had to have a c-sec. so I hope that helped

I'm breastfeeding and have a 5mth old and my period has only happened once 2mths ago (not that it was very noticeable). I'm on the mini pill aswell. I never had very strong periods prior to birth anyway.

I wouldn't worry yet.. Hormones still aren't back to normal at 8 weeks. If you have had unprotected sex you might just check...

I breast fed both of my girls. With my first I stopped bleeding after delivery at almost three weeks than started my menstrual at 5 weeks.. with my second I stopped bleeding after delivery around the same time but didn't start my menstrual until almost 4 months. I know people that don't bleed the whole time they are breastfeeding as a primary nutrient source for the kid.

Your period comes back fairly quick if you don't breast feed - some people even find as early as 6 weeks. Breast feeding can put it off indefinitely if the baby feeds lots but often as your baby starts to sleep through longer at night it comes back. Mine came after 3 months despite exclusively breast feeding cos she slept for 8 hours a night from about 3 weeks. You can ovulate before your period comes though so be careful!!

I heard that for breastfeeding moms it could be up to 6 months after.... I got mine after 4 months and I am breastfeeding my daughter.

If you are breastfeeding, your period might take longer to get back to normal. Personally I breastfed my son for 2 weeks. When I switched to formula, I got my period back about 9 weeks post partum.

Well it also depends on are you brestfeeding or bottle.
I'm a brestfeeding Momma and my son is Four months old and I have yet to start the monlth flow. I stoped bleeding after labor about 3 weeks maby 4 and than nothing..
Some times brestfeeding can slow your flow or mack in none Existent
