These are the names I'd picked out for my baby if it was a girl (I ended up having a boy, but loved these sooo much coz they're unusual & all have beautiful meanings):
Sahana (meaning "beautiful" in Sanskrit)
Gaia (meaning "Earth" in Greek)
Arya (meaning "Princess" or "Royal" in Sanskrit)
Aashna (meaning "Beloved")
Anya (meaning "Grace" in Russian & "Limitless" in Sanskrit)
Siya (It's the name of an Indian goddess)
Roohi (meaning "soul")
Zoya ("Life" in Russian)
Vanya ("God's gift")
Keep us posted if you pick one of these!

I have some friends that took some names and cut them in half and added the halves together. Like Sarah, Jessica, Anne, Mable, Bailey, Lindsey, Taylor, You can also give girls a boys name and just spell it completely different. Good luck. :)

I named my daughter Larissa. It means happy and cheerful which she pretty much is. She's 19 now and while we don't see many with her name we do run across some occasionally. I've always said it's different with out being a name that people go "huh?"when they hear it. The only drawback is that people sometimes think we said one of the other "issa" names (melissa, Alissa, Clarissa etc.). Her nicknames (always to be considered) are Liss, Lissa, and Lizzy. I fell in love with her name when I first saw it and never have regretted it and while some kids hate their names she doesn't. Good luck with your little girl !!

I love the name Emmalynn . But we just had a little girl and since we bounced the name around with everyone everyone kept on saying Evelyn so we went with Evelyn Julia-Denver . But it turns out Evelyn is my mom's godmother and Julia was my husband's grandma and I had a very close friend who just pasted away named Julia and Denver well this is a very very very important name over all. He was my godfather and he was very sick. He was dying from cancer while I was pregnant with Evelyn and all his life he suffered from polio . So when I started to have alot of problems with my pregnancy he told me that he was going to be here to see his little shit . And when he did he told me and my husband that she was going to be a tough little shit . ( our daughter was 3lbs 10ozs) . Well our daughter is doing amazing but a month half after our daughter came home Denver passed away this was the hardest thing for my family.............So when you name your daughter dont look at names that are trendy or out there look for something that will really have a connection to your heart and your family. Later it will mean something . My oldest is after my other uncle who also passed away and my dad so his name is Raymond John but our middle child is something that well we let our oldest name him and he picked Luke after Luke skywalker and he wanted skywalker for a middle name but we had to stop it so we used my husbands middle name James . Oh also all my kids middle names start with J' s John , James, & Julia-Denver >>>> AND MY step daughter who is the same age as my oldest is also a j and her middle name is Jhane so its Meghan Jhane . Well I wish you the best of luck and a speedy delievery .
