Hello Ladies! Thank you for all the help! A lil update on Caleb i changed his formula again twice Gerber soothe and Gerber protect. Unfortunately that didn't help. I switched his doctor and we went to see the new one today. He told me i can try a pro biotic. He didn't recommend one but I'm deff going to try the ones your both recommending. I'm happy to hear that the pro biotic worked for each of your babies! It gives me hope that this will work for Caleb. I dont get paid until tomorrow but as soon as i do i am deff going to buy it and give it a shot! Thanks again! Ill keep you all updated.

biogaia probiotic drops it really works. We have been using them now for about 2 months and they help a lot.

I'm not sure if you found something that worked for you, but I have been having the same gas problems with my little guy. He would wake up screaming from gas pains and struggle to get it out. We tried everything, from gripe water, ovol (needs to be recommended by your doctor) to pumping his legs and rubbing his belly clockwise which all seemed to work only for an hour or so. After about 5 weeks (my little guy is 6 weeks now) our nurse told us to get BioGaia probiotic drops, and this is our 3rd night of using it and it is amazing how well it works!!

Last night he slept for 4 hours (which is amazing because he has never slept for more than 2 hours straight!)

It is a little on the expensive side for such a small bottle but you only give 5 drops a day and is worth every penny!

You just have to ask the pharmacist for it as it needs to be kept refrigerated because of the live cultures. I love how it is all natural too! It is also safe for newborns, so no weight requirement!

Thank you very much!! I truly appreciate your help. I'm a little sad that no one else responded. From all the other things I've read so many people respond to others that ask questions. Im very grateful you took the time out of your day to help me out! Also i went to the pharmacy today to pick up a prescription. i started talking to my pharmacist. He told me that many doctors are recommending pro biotics to children with gas! Even though the box says the infant has to be 25 pounds or more. He said many doctors are telling moms its OK. So he told me to call Caleb's doctor and see what he says! So maybe i can switch formulas and also put him on the pro biotic! Also i asked about this miracle drug that I've seen moms talk about on here. He told me there is nothing made that's a prescription to help ease the gas pains. So he told me that they are lying or using just the over the counter gas drops, gripe water, colic calm or something like that!! So that's good to know. I just pray and hope the Dr says OK to the pro biotics and they work with switching the formula also! My fingers are crossed! Thank you so much again! Ill keep you updated!!

I just googled reviews on the 2 - the Good Start Protect and Good Start Soothe. So far I have found better reviews from moms on the Soothe. Seems like they noticed a difference pretty quickly!

If whatever you choose to use isn't covered by wic, then I suggest trying the Parent's Choice Probiotic. It's much cheaper! We used Good start at first and it cost us $10-15 more per tin than Parent's Choice. The only down side to Parent's Choice is that you can only get it at Walmart, where as Good Start you can get most places.

But if Good Start Soothe is covered, then it seems like the one to try! :)

Thank u very much. Ive heard about pro biotics working. I've been thinking about trying that. But i have another quick question for u. Im on WIC its a program to help moms with formula but they only will allow certain formulas. Well i had my son on the enfamil gentlease its for fussiness and gas .. i think it help a tad bit but then my dr told me try soy. So hes on Gerber goods start soy for sensitive tummy but i think thats causing constipation and hes still very gassy. Well my question is wic will cover the gerber soy and the gentle one then there's one called gerber good start soothe. Well the soothe has pro biotic in it but so does the Gerber good start protect. Will u read them both and see what one u feel would be better i dont think wic will cover the gerber protect but im desperate and if it helps my lil boy i rather pay the money for him to not suffer. Thanks so much!!

Sorry, I don't know of the medication you are looking for BUT did you try Parent's Choice Pro-biotic formula? My girl had gas pains in the beginning and we tried tummy rubs, moving her legs, gripe water (which worked ok) and switching formulas too. We tried a couple of different ones but when we switched to the Parent's Choice Pro-biotic stuff, she got a lot better. She's just over 5 months now and she almost never has gas pains. She passes gas easily, we hardly ever have to burp her.



We also tried drops that we would put in her formula that helped with lactose intolerance. I'm sorry, i forget the exact name.... Lactaze? We used those for about a month but now we don't need those anymore.



Just did a google search - didn't find the name of the medication but I did find a list of formulas to try:
