Hi Toni!

Go for Gold, I say! I'm 35 weeks and can hardly move, I wish I had that much energy. Maybe I'll get it soon?!!?!?

Good luck

Ange

thanks everyone! i havent gone into labour yet.. but still full of that energy, ive had so much for a week now, that ive already cleaned the house, and done like 6 months of past due laundry my boyfriend and I couldnt get to before... lol and reorganised a whole bunch of things. babys stuff is already to go.. i love stuff made by graco, its easy to make, snaps together, no tools required, but its very safe still from what reviews i read :)

Ooooh yes....I got a serious nesting bug....for cooking (and washing the dogs bed a bazzillion times!!) Everyone said 'stop, rest, relax' - I'm a busy bee at heart anyway, so nope; I was slower, but still busy!

My son was huge and 4 days late - and now, at 13 mths, he's as busy as I am!

Good luck - hope everything goes well for you!

Now you know what nesting feels like. Clean , cook those meals for the freezer (i baked muffins ) set up baby stuff, organize your hospital bag. just do it. I nested with both of mine at about the same time. then when you feel tired rest like crazy. good luck and best wishes!

Umm, this is called nesting! Be prepared, because labor always comes...eventually!

I had the same thing untill the day I went into labour! I was cleaning doing christmas shopping I worked until 3 weeks before I could have easily worked until the day my daughter was born but I have to travel by underground here in London and I tell you it is no joy! Week 39 I went for a check up with the midwife and she asked me what I was doing that day and I said I am going shopping and she told me to calm down! I think with me it was a lot of nerves and excitment. My contractions started on sunday night but I wasn't sure if it was contractions :-) on Monday morning I woke up full off energy almost hyperactive my husband told me to take it easy as he was getting worried. Until 10 Pm I was super active and the my daughter was born a few hours later. It is different now she is very active and me not so much!

You are so lucky! I can remember with my son I had energy and yet the best advice I got was from my aunt it was SLEEP. She told me, nap, sleep in, because in a little while it will feel like you will never sleep in again. I did a lot of running around and made a list of everything I couldn't do with a new baby. I went and got my hair cut, went and saw some movies, had a coffee with friends I knew I wouldn't see much after he was born. Good luck to you!

Have you gone into labor yet? A lot of women may get a big burst of energy at the end of their pregnancy. These other Moms are right, it's nesting, alright. It's usually a sign that the end is near, or rather the beginning. If you haven't already, pack that hospital bag. Get some rest, though too. If you're restless just hanging around, try doing something productive you can do sitting down - scrapbooking, knitting, arranging a photo album, folding laundry, writing letters, etc. And congratulations. Hope you have a wonderful birth experience!

I had tons of energy at 40 weeks. I super cleaned my house top to bottom and could not sit still for 5 mins which my drove my husband nuts :) and he kept me from overdoing it which is definitly a good plan. I think it's excitment and anticipation and a little bit of nesting but as Danielle said moving around will help you. AND as much energy as you have also try to get as much rest as you can labour takes a lot out of you :) Congrats and good luck :)

more power to ya ! If you have the energy take advantage and get as much done as you can, besides moving around will just help things along :) Just don't overdo it cause bedrest SUCKS!

Nesting instinct. You're probably getting your home ready for baby...which is probably minutes away! Hours before I went into labor I attempted to put his stroller together when I should've been on the couch complaining about contractions

Quoting Samantha:

ABSOLUTLY. Some people call it "Nesting" You get this big burst of energy and you want to get everything ready for baby. Just keep in mind that you do still need to rest! It may seem hard because you are anxious for baby, but do rest.

Samantha is right almost ever mom i know had that burst at the end. enjoy it while you have it but do rest up.
