If your baby is a boy I would recommend steering clear of soy as much as possible. Do a little research.

I never asked my doctor if it is ok to change baby formula and ive changed my sons formula 3 times he just wasnt happy with the first 2. what i did was give ur soon the formula he has now as well as the other formula say old one, new one, etc and then old one and then 2 of the new one until u get down to the new formula that was it wont upset his tummy if u understand what i mean

If you've been using that formula for a while and he spitting it up try burping him twice..try some Milicon drops for gas (sold at wal-mart)..if not then it is okay to change baby formula until you find one that fits him..it's not going to hurt him..the switching may give him gas.

I've tried a few different ones with my son. I don't remember if it's Enfamil or Similac, but one of them, maybe even both have a section you can put in all of their symptoms and it will recommend one for you as well. I've done that several times!

I actually did switch my 10 week baby formula without asking the doctor, and it went ok, but i did stick to the same brand, which I use Enfamil. But why do you want to switch formula?

Yes, it is ok to change baby formula. You don't want a cranky baby all of the time because of the formula. We switched our daughter a few times & she did great each time. Follow your baby's cues & do what you know is best for your LO.

Just remember Emily if you are on WIC you will need a doctors note to change the checks- Just thought I would let you know that. That way you won't have to fight with the nutrionists there. I have done that alot- Keep that baby happy and not gassy!!!

Yes it is ok to change baby formula!! I switched for milk based to soy with 3 of my kids. I just started by mixing the normal formula with the new stuff a little at a time until it was all the new stuff. 2 out of 3 did well on soy, the 3rd did better but still was gassy a lot. lol

I switched my daughter and then just told my doctor. Just because it can and was a sign in m daughter of acid reflux and she had to be put on Zantac. However you can switch anytime. I would reccomend Enfamil Gentle Ease.....
