I've been feeding my 5 month old infamil lipil formula since i stopped breastfeeding 2 months ago. I recently recieved a sample of Similac Advance formula in the mail. Its a good size tub of formula that I would hate to see go to waste. Is it ok to give her that and go back to the Infamil?

i believe that infamil and similiac is the same company. if your child takes to the similac and you live in canada the pc brand is the same thing too and alot cheaper.
if you bottle fed in the hospitals the similac is the brand they use so you baby would of had it.

I was wondering the same thing cuz I use Similac Advanced and I got a whole can of Enfamil Lipil in the mail along with $20 worth of $5 off coupons to go along with the $15 I already have for the Enfamil Lipil!

I went through a few different kinds of samples and it didn't affect my baby. She prefers similac over the enfamil.

I would say definatly half and half like the other mums. When I switched thats what we did. Or you can donate it to a local food bank baby food is always needed.I had a full un opened can of formula that i put in the foodbank and it was really appreciated

Absolutely! They both milk based formula just manufactured by different companies. You can switch all together or do half & half as previously suggested. Either was I think ur lil one will be totally fine. If she gets gassy or constipated (which is always a possibilility even w/o switching, d/t high iron in the formula) just try mylicon gtts for gas & half strength prune juice for constipation! Good luck!!

You should just go half and half...my son gets constipated or gassy when I change formulas but if ur baby stomach is fine with the change ou should try it

if you didnt want to fully switch you could also try both half and half. we did this for my son because of the same thing! received a good size one in the mail andi didnt want to waste it. even when he started on cereal at 5 months i would mix different kinds instead of waisting what i got in the mail. :) your babes shoudl be fine :)

Formulas are all basically the same. You can try and switch and just watch for anything different, if she becomes constipated, gets gassy, etc. She should be fine though!
