Is there a way to get formula odor out of a mattress?

My son has slept with me from day one but here lately he has been lettin his bottle leak an it soaked through the mattress...The smell is groos.. Ive tried fabreeze, warm bleach water, warm bleach water with detergent an still smells? is ther anything you have tried or heard of that works?

Yeah, definitely air it out side. The nicer the weather the better. But I still think you should try oxyclean along with it.

we have tried the backin soda an still nothing.. weve tried bleach with warm water an with detergent.. ive heard let it air out outside? you think that might help? we dont keep much cleaners around the house!

Hmmmm...how about Oxyclean? If it is warm where you are, apply it, and let it dry out in the sun. Then find a mattress pad that has a rubber backing so it collects on that instead of your mattress! Formula is a stinky one to get out! Good luck!

I've washed mattresses with soapy water, let dry and then misted them with distilled vinegar. Seemed to help. Other than that....?? Baking soda, let it sit, then vacuum?? I only had a tiny spot in my daughter's mattress once.
